alien romulus is the single most high-budget and terrifying piece of doomed yuri i've ever seen
Locked and Loaded
I want a sequel to Alien: Romulus that’s also an end to the David 8 trilogy that does that thing where the heroes team up with an old villain to take down a newer bigger villain, maybe around the fact that Andy and Rain are trying to go somewhere that bans androids and David would hate that, maybe David even wants to take in Andy as a sort of son/brother and accepts Rain as a package deal
Just David being his usual smiling, no conscience, happy to commit murder self and Andy and Rain are just like “Ok… That’s cool, David, you just… Just keep killing people over there, we’ll go push some buttons or whatever over here.” And David is holding a man up by his throat like 😁👍
Edit:
NO WAIT
Who has been the main actual villain throughout all of the movies? The Weyland-Yutani corporation
And we know that David had been engineering his own xenomorphs and considers himself close with some
Tell me you wouldn’t want to see downtrodden protagonists who have been taken advantage of for corporate greed teaming up with David the vengeful android and a team of Xenomorphs that are on their side and they mow down the executives that have been causing the misery of thousands of people all these years
Synthetic reader who doesn’t realise he’s a synthetic. Has somehow developed to a point where he’s like any other human. Has emotions and parts and bodily requirements and whatnot.
He’d been a prototype. Something Yutani had made as an effort to infiltrate situations that required someone stronger and faster than the average human but passing as one in any other way or something.
But since he was a prototype he was the only one of his kind. Had been made and abandoned fast enough that his creation had never made it out to the public, let alone to majority of the company.
He doesn’t remember much, just remembers waking up somewhere and then going on his way. He’d learned everything he knew from the people he’d met on the streets, only had basic functions already coded into him.
Then he’d met Rain and Tyler, and by extension the rest of their group of friends. They had taken him in readily, made him part of their family like he’d always been there.
He shared a special kinship with Andy in particular, though he could never figure out why exactly.
I’m missing my point though! My whole point was reader doesn’t realise he’s a synthetic, not until he’s on the station with Tyler, Rain and Andy and he’s running from the facehuggers with the others.
Fear is turning him near blind and his heart is working overtime. He doesn’t make it in time though, the door’s closed and he’s colliding with the glass with an anguished cry. He can hear those things running up behind him, can hear them getting closer. Tyler’s face is in front of him, screaming through the glass and banging on it as he looks between him and Andy.
He can’t help the flinch when one of them runs into the door next to him, shoulders hunching up around his ears when a couple more hit the door on the other side. He’s unwilling to turn around, even if the lack of impact and terrible death is not actually happening to him like he thought.
He does eventually, and what he’s met with both confuses and relieves him more than he’d thought. The face huggers stand around his feet, a couple still jumping at the door and paying him no attention.
Tyler’s gone quiet on the other side of the door, looking on in equal confusion and relief. Reader kicks one of them, watching as it screams and flails before running off, as if it doesn’t quite know what’s happened to it.
When he turns back to the door, hesitant smile on his face, he’s met with Rain and Andy, the former staring with wide eyes while the latter tilts his head in obvious question.
so is it just me or does andy wanna fuck rain 👀
Alien Rain
Does it rain on other planets ?
Yes, and more interestingly, it's not always water rain.
On Venus, it rains Sulfuric Acid, and if that wasn't enough the ground temperature of 460'c and pressure around 95 bar. The rain in this case doesn't make it to the ground, but either way, if you're looking for a picture of hell, Venus is fairly close.
On Mars it doesn't rain, but it does snow ! Carbon Dioxide. The polar regions can become so cold the CO2 in the atmosphere forms dry ice and falls as snow.
On Jupiter, it rains and hails, this time Helium and "mushy" ammonia. While Jupiter is thought to have a rocky core, like on Venus, the rain and hail occurs through part of it's atmosphere, where the pressure is just right. The Helium rain falls through a sea of hydrogen which being non-reactive, doesn't mix, but maintains it's drops as it sinks through.
On Saturn's moon Titan, it rains Methane and liquid hydro carbons, here the rain does make it to the surface, pooling and creating river channels almost identically to here on Earth.
and on Neptune and Uranus, it has been theorised that it rains Diamonds. The Atmosphere of Uranus and Neptune are mostly made Methane and Ammonia, both which under pressure and temperature are crushed into diamonds which then fall towards the rocky core.
Many Exoplanets have also been theorised to have similarly exotic weather, some raining molten Iron, as is suggested may also be occurring at the centre of the Earth.
So, if you're planning vacation somewhere exotic, make sure you go prepared with an exotic umbrella.
