What are your opinions on the people who ignore the entire point of Dan's coming out video and call him a full homosexual man? Imo they're immature phangirls who want so desperately to believe it to be true to feed into their fantasies of Dan and Phil being gay with each other. What they dont realise is that it erases the entire idea that a person can be in a relationship with another man and still have the capacity to be attracted to other genders. Its bi/pan/queer erasure!!!!

To be completely honest, I don’t feel that my opinion on this is going to be all that important because I am not aware of any discourse around the subject. 

To give my two cents because you asked me twice about this I think, my general view is this: Dan opened up a lot in his coming out video, and I think the fact he called it ‘basically im gay’ invites people to refer to him as such like you said as an ‘umbrella term’ because that’s essentially what he himself is doing by titling the video that. I understand completely that since the title does ignore his so-called ‘preferred’ term, which is queer (? haven’t seen it in a while please correct me if this is false), but unless these phangirls that you mention are specifically negating the broader aspects of his sexuality in order to fetishise d + p as a couple, I don’t see the fact that they also use the umbrella term as a huge issue. 

We all know, in this phandom, that dan is not an easily definable person in terms of gender or sexuality, which is why we love him like we do. He expresses himself in all sorts of ways now, and has shared his romantic experiences with us that are with both men and women. These are the things to hold on to here, and whether or not everybody, particularly newer phandom members that have not really stanned him pre-BIG era, view it the same way shouldn’t impact the truth of the matter at all. Dan is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and it’s for none of us to say which boxes he does or doesn’t fit into within that, we just need to love him for who he is and accept that, as he put it, ‘we don't really have to know everything and why’.

30 - What inspires you to not just make art, but to be a better artist?

I've always loved art, but what drives me is seeing the incredible art others have made, saying to myself you can do that, you just have to keep going. A big part of it is looking back and seeing how far I've come, scrolling alllllllllllll the way to the bottom of my DA or even here, and slooooooowly scrolling to the top, taking time to appreciate all the little gradual improvements I've made along the way

28. Does anyone read your fics before you post them? If so, who? Unless we are writing a fic for each other, then @hannah-0730 and I usually read each other's fics before they're posted. I am sure that comes as a surprise to absolutely no one.

38. Did any of your fics get surprisingly popular (whatever that means to you)? Which ones? Why do you think they were so successful? If This Was A Movie was mildly popular (Almost 1k kudos! And I think close to 40k views? Maybe more?). I think it's because of when I posted it (December 2024), and once I got into the swing of things, it was decently written and interesting. Since then, my writing has improved, and I really, REALLY, need to return to that universe.

Favorite thing about them: When she cares about you, she cares about you. Obviously, kids are her weak spot. That and Death. Other than that, she gives no fucks and is just a fucking menace. I love her. I could actually go into way more depth, but will not.

Least favorite thing about them: What we have here is a failure to communicate.
