“Lizard Soul” • Cayman Islands for @kaaboocayman coming to you in February 2019!! Get your tickets this festival is going to be amazing !! ( spray can on bottom left for scale) • Witches communing with the souls of native creatures. The blue iguana is native only to the Cayman Islands and is very endangered and very cool. Elements of this piece influenced by the bioluminescent lagoon we canoed through, and the Fever dreamy colorways that sink into your mind when you paint out here. Thanks to the amazing @alynnpaint for everything 🖤🌈🦎🍭 beautiful way to end the year😸😸 • Every time I paint in more challenging conditions I gain a stronger appreciation for spray paint. Corrugation, intermittent storms, wind and baking sun- It makes me appreciate how durable and powerful the medium is if you are aggressive and creative with it. I freehand all of my work and therefore there is an element of play and opportunity for impromptu magic to happen, but not without stringent control over readability and the overall design. Allowing myself to interact with an environment/community & play with color and imagery on a massive scale (using giant machinery!!) is the thing I enjoy most in life. I am deeply thankful for every opportunity I get to do it.
