ZenView Apartments 7:15pm - Ellie gets a shock
Ellie: “Ugh, this dizziness is terrible, maybe I should see a doctor, what do you think Pippa?”
Pippa took a deep breath before answering. She’d never be allowed back home if anyone found out she’d revealed her true form but it was either that or let Ellie lose her mind. She couldn’t fix what was wrong if she was using energy to hold her disguise in place.
Pippa: “Ah listen, Ellie I have something important to tell you and....you might want to sit down for this...it has to do with the way you’re feeling.”
Ellie crossed her arms. She knew something was going on with Pippa. Her gut had been telling her since day one. How on earth did she have anything to do with how she’d been feeling. Had she been spiking her coffee?? Ellie braced herself for what was going to come next.
Pippa: “Okay....well see, I’m not from here Ellie, I’m.... I’m.....an alien.”
Ellie for her part looked as skeptical as anyone would and simply raised an eyebrow. Ye-ah. Alien. Well that was definitely not what she was expecting her roommate to say.
Ellie: “Sure, sure, and our downstairs neighbor is a ghost.” she quipped. But deep down she was actually nervous. Pippa looked way too serious and uncomfortable to be playing a prank.
Pippa sighed internally. Here goes nothing she thought. Let’s try the band-aid approach. One big rip and it’s over. She closed her eyes for a moment and her disguise dropped.
Pippa: “El- Ellie- stop screaming, it’s still just me.”
