So you didn’t specify a character, so I’ll do all of the ones I listed, could get long so I’ll put them under the cut :)
Asks are up! And now for answers
so puppetguys-guild.tumblr.com sent me some numbers from The Excessively Detailed Headcanon Tumblr Meme through messages since I didn’t have asks up. SO here we got for Ellisot!
2. Do they have daily rituals?
When he is on the road, Ellisot wakes up with the sunrise, he then goes to the nearest body of water (if he isn’t camped near one already) and bathes himself. If the water is deep enough he will also swim around for about 5-15 mins. He does this for exercise and to spend some quality time with Roshix and Tofu the Quaggan. He then makes a quick breakfast out of dry rations and whatever else he might have on hand, because the standard issue Vigil dry rations may be filling, but they taste awful! Before he eats however, he has to take an antidote to counteract the toxins from his spore releasing gloves. The antidote must be administered before every meal or else he risks poisoning himself. The antidote is a combination of anti-toxins and anti-fungal formulas, temporarily rendering the gloves inert. After breakfast, he takes an inventory of his equipment, strikes camp, and starts going to his next destination.
10. Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such?
Ellisot has a few. These were brought about because of a Pact mission gone horribly wrong, and due to an Orrian Mesmer causing time distortions whilst manipulating the Mists, Ellisot had to relive his failed mission for a week. The mission involved a foray into a previously unexplored complex of catacombs in Arah. Ellisot was sent in with some of the best of the Pact’s scouts. Ellisot and five others went into the catacombs, only Ellisot came out. (I’ll write the story in another post later). The experience was harrowing. He now has PTSD that gets triggered when those catacombs are mentioned, and he has a bitter resentment towards Pact Marshal Trahearne because Ellisot believes that Trahearne knew what would happen. Whenever he sees Trahearne, his companions have to physically restrain him to prevent him from attacking the Marshal. His friends alwasy manage to subdue/lead him away in time, but the whole time he is screaming obscenities, ranting that Trahearne knew everything and raving incoherently. this has happened enough times where Ellisot has been relieved of his Pact duties and is on indeterminate leave from the Vigil. He doesn’t realize any of these neuroses, which only leads to more frustration over The Pact and it’s leader.
11. Intellectual pursuits?
Ellisot doesn’t have free time very often. But when he has the time, he loves to sit down with one of his favorite books. If there is anybody else around he loves to play chess, checkers, basically any strategic game he can get his hands on. He also loves to experiment with different alcoholic drink recipes when he has the materials available. Since his brush with the Toxic Alliance he has also become interested in the curing and cleansing of poisons. This interest is twofold; to get rid of the toxic gloves on his hands, and to undo the damage to the land that was caused by the Toxic Alliance.
18. Favorite Beverage?
Ellisot’s favorite non-alcoholic beverage is his own personal blend of hot chocolate. Using cocoa beans that he harvested from a secluded grove in Caledon Forest, fresh mint, and a little sugar from Krytan sugarcane farms. This is his favorite drink to relax with no matter the climate. For alcoholic drinks, he knows many different mixed drinks. But his one true pleasure is finely aged Scotch. He has a few different bottles of varying years, his favorite is a single malt that was distilled in the Black Citadel. He always offers to share if anyone is around, and his friend Tarr accepted once. She has avoided the stuff ever since.
25. How do they see themselves 5 years from today?
Ellisot doesn’t focus much on the future, but if pressed about it. He would like to have Mordremoth slain so that his best friend could be safe. He also wants to have the gloves off by then. Ellisot wants to be back with both the Vigil and the Pact by then as well. And maybe be one of Almorra’s trusted inner circle. Most of all, he sees himself traveling to every corner of Tyria. His quest to see it all never ceasing.
33. Concept of Home and family?
Ellisot has and always will be a traveler. He has a few favorite camp sites that he likes to think of as home. Secret places that only he knows about; other than Ellisot, only Roshix and Tofu know about these places. But Ellisot does have a small shack in Lions Arch that he calls home whenever he is in town. Since he is a perpetual traveler, Ellisot’s “family” is constantly gaining and losing members, with a few constants here and there. His travelling family is filled with people or even animals that he trusts. And though some of the family see him rarely, if they send for his help, woe to anyone who gets in his way as he rushes to their aid. Of his biological family, only his mother is still alive, retired from the Lionguard and living in a small village outside of Divinity’s Reach. He visits her every month if he can help it, always bringing her a trinket from his travels.
44 Religion?
Ellisot grew up with the six Deity’s religion that most humans follow. but since then, after learning about Ventari’s Teachings from the Sylvari and about the Spirits of the Wild from the Norn. He lives his life based on a combination of the two and the strictures put forth by Melandru.
