TURBLES said: now that you mention it I was that way for quite a while too and I never considered it could be a trans thing. interesting. anyway now I work in a picture frame store and my walls are completely full. cheers to you
It probably wasn't just the trans thing, I don't talk about my home life in detail on here but it did not encourage me to really settle in to anywhere I lived -- I think when you're in a transitionary phase or you really feel the impermanence of where or what you are, it's hard to decorate.
For some people it's hard to clothe yourself or groom in a nice way pre-transition, because you feel the sensation that this body or this personal state is a house that you won't live in forever, and what's the point of making it look nice if you're just going to leave anyway? But also literally with your actual house too. Subconsciously we know that the person that officially lives here will not be here in the future, at least not happily, or the situation feels too unstable to commit to anything even as slight as placing a poster on the wall. It took actually physically moving houses for the change to kick in for me personally... but I'm happy your walls are full!
Forgive me for the sappy response but I feel like there's probably someone reading who's stuck in that empty room spot and needs the reassurance that it can change. It's very fulfilling to gain or regain that method of self-expression.
I see L O T S of posts about the
Frogs
and the
Snails
and the
Worms
But please D O N O T forget 2 appreciate the
Turbles!!!!!
TIL the temperature of a sea turtle’s nest determines the sex of the hatchlings. The warmer the sand, the more females will be born; cooler sand produces more males.
