Bfbshf Silver as someone who obsessed over Rock Riordan’s books what I’m about to say will make very little sense to you but a lot to other folk; Barnaby would ABSOLUTELY be a Frank Zhang style son of Ares, I’d think Demeter for Lau (maybe Hecate?? Less flowers more mischief owo) and they would be so!! In!! Love!! Lau’s been at camp longer but pretends like he doesn’t know how to use weaponry so Barnaby can ‘teach’ him ovo!! Bfbshf okay I’m going to sleep now I just saw PJO Barnlau and went 🥰🤡

1. How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?

Ash never knew her father v.v She doesn’t really care to learn about him.

4. What type of discipline was your character subjected to at home? Strict? Lenient?

The usual; lectures, grounding, confiscated toys and stuff. It built frustration more than obedience, and now that Ash is in her rebellious phase, it’s getting less and less effective. 

10. Is your character street-smart, book-smart, intelligent, intellectual, slow-witted?

Ash is very intelligent! But given her lack of knowledge on many of the subjects she has to deal with now, she doesn’t have much in the way of street-smarts or book-smarts. She’s a very quick learner though, and is getting the hang of it with ease.

13. Did they like school? Teachers? Schoolmates?

Hogwarts is like heaven for her. Ash always felt like she was in the wrong place--her latent magic always got in the way of personal relationships and development in the muggle world, she never fit in. 

At Hogwarts, where she learned she could actually control the mishaps and chaos that seemed to follow her around? She feels right. She feels normal, like she actually belongs here. It’s everything she could ask for.

Hi! So I read all the way through the Naruto manga recently and immediately got fired up to make an oc because there's just so much good stuff to work with! But I wanted to ask, do you guys have any good resources or tips for clothing design in keeping with the naruto universe? I want to keep it believable, but incorporate unique elements and I'm not sure what a good baseline would be ^-^' I love your blog btw!! Seeing such positivity for oc's is beautiful!! Hi, I’m so proud of you - I certainly don’t have the wherewithal to read the whole Naruto saga. It’s good to see the Springtime of OC Youth burn bright!

As for clothing, I suggest finding Naruto characters that you really like the designs of and study their clothing. They tend to be a mix of traditional japanese clothing and athleisure wear, combined with the traditional naruto sandals, forehead protector and flak vest for some. Cover some bare skin with bandages or fish net. Remember the clothing is influenced by the personality and the background of your character - Sasuke wouldn’t be caught dead wearing Lee’s jumpsuit, and Hinata could never bring herself to wear Ino’s revealing outfits.

I would suggest not putting too many details in. Keep the themes and designs simple, layer them up, and think ‘what would a 30 year old Japanese man dress teenagers in in the late 1990s’ and go from there 👍
