can you pls pretty pls give me a relationship timeline from Damen’s perspective? Like when did he start to take an interest in Laurent and when did he start loving him romantically?

okay im really bad at math and timelines but in my draft this is basically how i envisioned it happening

may - auguste leaves

august - first hook up (in the backyard)

december - laurent gets into arles for the first time. he and damen are a lot more solid at this point

mid january - this happens:

The Cadillac was special, though. It was rare to see Damen so excited about something, but Laurent remembered long, winter nights where they had huddled in bed together, legs tangled and fingers intertwined, going over all the specs handles and metrics of the car. Laurent learned about analog gauges and different cuts of leather and even Bakelite.

Damen had ended up taken Jokaste to buy the car. He had dumped Laurent three nights before. He hadn’t even seemed sorry about it.

aka this is when damen realises his feelings run deeper for laurent and he freaks out

end of may - laurent and damen are back together; damen goes to his training with makedon; again realises he feels too much for laurent and gets back with jokaste. that doesn't last at all - it's when damen finally ends it with her and focuses all his attention on laurent.

by the start of summer is where yngt starts.

ignore any inconsistencies. i'm sure i got some things wrong

also when damen says this:

“Arles isn’t going to change shit,” he said, finally. “I mean it’s what, an eight hour drive, even with traffic? A two hour flight? I always knew this was going to be an eventuality with you. I’ve been fucking racking up my flight points since last summer.”

"last summer" - aka when they weren't even together which is why it shocks laurent so much. for me, i see damen doing this even when he had no romantic feelings for laurent because he believed in laurent so much and knew he might have to look out for him in arles, the same way he had been in marlas.

That BLU stamp is phenomenal too, you're so lucky to have it, i'd be stamping everything I owned.

(and yes I would LOVE a scan of the RED stamp too, if you don't mind... I have my ways of mimicking stamped ink digitally but just having an actual stamp for both teams would make my life so much easier 😭)
