Just rewatched Why Is Dating Scary? and...yeah. my idea of Logan being hurt by emotions is only stronger now.

It's painfully obvious when Thomas is talking to him and in his "and yet." It's everywhere and I don't think I could fully list every instance that I noticed.

But it's why, whatever Orange represents, has such a hold on him. Injustice, anger, whatever, but the truth is that Logan has many negative emotions that he either refuses to acknowledge or just doesn't know how to handle.

Yes. Logan is an apathetic dick sometimes. But he's also been hurt by the others, by the more emotional sides. Both things can be true at once, and I don't think some people see that. He wants what's best for Thomas, and he wants to be accepted by the group. He wants the attention and the love the others are getting. But he's being left behind, and I don't think he fully understands why.

Whatever happens. The next bit of Logan's arc is going to crush people. And I can't wait to see it.

I'm rewatching Sanders Sides with the knowledge of the future and something that rings ever clearer to me now is that the 'Light' and 'Dark' distinction that was made...is incorrect.

It shows most in Roman, likely due to the split of Creativity in childhood. The way he mocks the others, the cruelty. It's much easier to see with Janus and Remus and S1 Virgil, but it's there a little too with Patton and Logan.

Patton tries too hard to be 'good' that it loops back around into 'bad', as shown in both Selfish v Selfishness episodes.

Logan's apathetic, born from a lack of understanding. He can't really fully grasp anything the others try to do, and he ends up harsh and abrasive because of it.

None of them are particularly 'good' or 'bad', 'light' or 'dark'. I think if they stopped making that distinction, maybe they'd all be a little happier.

Carmilla may have had good intentions, but the simple fact of the matter is that she took advantage of the Mechanisms.

In fact, I doubt that she even knew how to properly love. It is said that she was in a toxic relationship before she created the Mechanisms, and that could've skewed her perspective.

Jonny was a young kid in a bad situation, desperate for any escape, and unaware of the lasting consequences of Carmilla's offer.

Nastya was dying, and even younger. She couldn't have known the effects of her choice.

Ivy died and was brought back without a choice in the matter. She can't even properly remember her past due to her mechanism.

While it's implied Ashes knew what kind of game Carmilla was playing when she offered immortality, the simple fact of the matter is that it was either Carmilla or death.

Brian never even got a choice. He was dead. And the morality switch was entirely unnecessary. She didn't need to add that.

And while it's unclear whether or not she mechanized Tim, I think she did. Which means that he did not get a choice either. Not when he was blind and floating through the wreckage of the moon.

Raph and Marius are even more unclear, because they either joined just before or just after Carmilla left.

But the simple fact of the matter is that she manipulated them and took advantage of their situations. She was not a good 'creator', and that's part of why she irks me.

These two specifically, in the series, make me ill.

At first, you can absolutely view their relationship as teacher and student, but I'm positive that these two are more like brothers.

Dunno if this is a common takeaway or not, but I'm gonna rant about it anyway. ↓

These scenes are gonna be the most prevalent examples. Specifically because of just how they interact. Especially in the recap trailer.

Their little talk is more like a younger brother seeking advice from the older one.

When they see Martin Li's moving, Peter immediately clicks onto Miles' aggression and moves to counteract that the best he can.

He reassures him time and time again, guiding him like an older sibling would guide a younger sibling.

Their dynamic makes me physically ill because they're such a perfect example of how you can meet someone and they'll slot into your life just like you've known them since the day you were born.

Spoilers for Venom: The Last Dance ahead. You have been warned.

Daylight by Maroon 5 is Veddie coded, specifically in Venom 3. Let me explain.

This could be put at any point in the third movie, but I'm specifically imagining this being Venom's internal thoughts shortly after their first run-in with the xenophage. He knew, especially after the first movie, that it wasn't going to last. He'd created a codex, and one of them was going to have to die.

This, I believe, would be Eddie's thoughts during the ride with Martin's family. He doesn't want to sleep, he doesn't want to close his eyes or lose any time with Venom, because if one of them's going to die, it's going to be him.

Venom's thoughts during Las Vegas. Time's always moved fast for him, he's an alien who never really had a chance to live before Eddie. It was always just invading and eating. But now, he wants time to crawl by, so that he can spend these last moments with Eddie.

Eddie's thoughts during the attack on Area 55 and the events leading afterwards. He was planning to die with Venom, and he didn't want to go back to his old life, of him being a bum reporter with nothing. He wants Venom, and even though he was afraid at first, he can't imagine life without the darkness that is Venom.

The first half is MacTavish.

MacTavish was so caught up in idolizing Price and wanting to be like him, that he lost two of his closest comrades (but we're focusing on Riley here) so he 'fucked it up this time', and all he could do was hope that next time, he did better.

The next half is Ghost.

For the sake of this, I'm gonna go with 'Ghost remembered everything from 09.' He'd seen the separation happen before, and knew they were doomed to never have a happy ending. But he blames himself for Soap's death, even though it wasn't his fault.

The final half is both of them singing. Part one is MacTavish, part two is Ghost.
