Hello,
You may vaguely remember a while ago I was in contact with you about the Penna - Typewriter style Retro Bluetooth Keyboard. This was because I was having trouble getting any information from elretron, the campaigner.
At the tail end I demanded a refund because, well, I didn't believe I'd get it.
Every so often I've poked back on their page to see how things seem to have progressed to see if they're commercially available yet.
Uh, I think you might really want to see about some damage control.
I'm going through the customer and backer comments, you see.
And there is anger.
People who ordered their devices in MAY of 2017 who were promised their produce in September, December, and January still haven't received them.
People who specifically requested or needed non US lay outs have been blown off by elretron who claims they notified everyone about when and how to do so.
(They didn't).
Of the few who've received the product, it's almost a universal dud. The bluetooth is not pairing with devices. And we're not talking about phones from small companies. We're talking about Dells , Apple, and Microsoft Surface Pros.
Furthermore, do you know how many times I had to reiterate I wanted a refund from them?
Dozens.
I had to repeat the point dozens of times.
Before I finally started just sending out single line responses saying I wanted a refund and nothing else.
It seems I am not the only backer who's request for a refund they are either dancing around or completely ignoring. Most often people are demanding the refund after they left feedback repeatedly for information and received non.
I'm not too familiar with Crowd Funding sites. But uh, this product gathered over a millions dollars in funding.
And as I read through the assorted comments (there's new angry backers demanding information or refunds every few days if not more often) I'd say if 1% of the backers are satisfied when the campaign's promises, perks, product, and communication, I am both shocked and being generous.
This will sully the reputation of you, the crowdfunding website that is hosting the campaign.
Over a million dollars.
Nearly 3000 Backers.
And I've found maybe three positive comments so far.
