7. Have you ever despised something you have read?
Yes, the last book that I read I wasn't so sure about but I almost had it with the male romantic lead because he was being such a dumbass. I finished the book and it turned out okay though...I felt like some things were not realistic.
15. Do you agree that Jane Eyre should be considered a feminist novel?
Yes, because it's about a woman who's spent most of her life basically having to survive on her own and making her own choices. Jane has always been a survivor having to deal with her family and then losing Helen.
Jane made the decision to find work which led her to Thornfield Hall, when the priority would have marriage over working and independence.
She made the choice to leave Mr. Rochester after finding out all his drama. And she made the choice to come back on her own, to forgive and to love him.
