She supposed that sending smiles and faking a giggle could, sometimes, save a lot of trouble. Her bare arms trembled with a gust of cold wind as she manoeuvred through the golden interior. Freckles adorning her shoulders were glowing in the faint faelight as she finally glanced at the target of her mission.
"I heard an interesting rumor," midnight voice seemed to echo inside her mind as its low notes sparkled something primal deep down in her chest. A small wisp of shadow curled around her ear, nibbing at it, testing the skin of her earlobe. "That it only takes you one smile to make men kneel," the rough baritone traveled down her spine and with a slow halt in her step she whirled around to see him standing at the end of the ballroom. Tall and ominous. Beautiful and deadly.
"Well," she stepped away, her senses tingling. "Let me show how right you and your assumptions are," her sultry sentence made the shadow coil around her slender neck. A warning. A tease. A promise of something dark and dangerous. Elain smiled, she couldn't wait for that part of the night.
