I made that last post because I realized I don't think I'd pointed out here before that after the Phyrexian Invasion and sending that gay ass letter to Elspeth then they cut their nails.

Which could mean nothing.

In their letter to Elspeth, Ashiok refers to her as ‘Dearest’ no less than three times. That’s so incredibly gay.

Ashiok: *Sees indomitable woman who keeps enduring hell time and time again and keeps getting back up and choosing to be a hero and even escapes literal Hell* “That’s my gf! She’s so traumatized!!”

Do you think Elspeth and Ashiok ever explored each other's nightmares?

You know thinking about it has Ashiok ever done anything wrong to Elspeth? Like the nightmares they gave to Elspeth on Theros IIRC were what woke Elspeth enough for her to claw her way out of the underworld. Orpheus and Eurydice level romance. Also they were responsible for her getting shadowspear which was what she beat Heliod with. Ashiok has done nothing but be helpful to Elspeth #ElshiokSweep

Get yourself someone who frees you from the Underworld with a mass breakout and gives you the weapon of your nightmares to defeat the absolute bastard that put you there

I hope we get to see more of Ashiok being gay for Elspeth and not knowing how to do anything about that.

*proceeds to write a letter detailing all of her worst failings and self-doubts in order to help alleviate her guilt and empower her*

I would love to see more of that kind of thing, something that is so intense but also well intentioned. Give me more Ashiok giving Elspeth presents that are so deeply personal they could only have come from her deepest thoughts.
