Jonghyun snaps and loses control for a second, launches his fist hard at Taemin’s face. It connects with his cheek with a sickening noise, sending him lurching sideways with a grunt of pain. His hand throbs from the impact, matching the blood pounding through his head in his anger as he watches Taemin stumble around to gain his footing. He’s ready to go to town on this disrespectful little shit, but Taemin staggers up and spits some blood onto the ground, then steps defiantly back in front of Jonghyun and glares at him.
“Hit me again.”
Jonghyun frowns and lowers his fist, confusion taking over his fury. Just what is it with this kid?
“Why—”
“Hit me!” Taemin shouts, grabbing the collar of Jonghyun’s shirt and yanking him closer. “Put your tiny fucking brain to good use and hit me!” Jonghyun’s temper flares again. He punches Taemin again, harder this time. Taemin knocks back, cradles his cheek for a moment, stands back up straight and grits his teeth. “Hit me again, dumbass.”
