The whisper of the breeze filled the lifeless streets of Seoul that night. Flickering lamp posts that housed visiting fireflies would emit the occasional sound of a zap. Apart from that, everything was quiet and serene -- something was clearly wrong.
Her movements were sluggish as she dashed through the snaking, intertwined alleyways. A gash was on the maroon-haired wolf's left hind leg, leaving crimson trickles of blood wherever she'd charge through. The silence that was once loud and present, soon had itself exchanged with an abrupt noise. Fireflies constantly hitting the bulbs of the post were the sounds of footsteps hitting the solid cement. What was once a whisper of breeze turned into a gust of wind when the two beings chased each other down the road.
A howl of agony erupted without warning. Silence resumed for a brief moment before the sounds of snarls coming from the animal and groans of pain coming from the other being floated all around the grubby, isolated area that had remnants of the homeless living there.
Blood reached places so high and so low -- power and strength was expected for a splatter trajectory that extreme to happen. Two bodies clashing against one another made even those asleep stir in their beds. A final, reverberating howl was made.
In one of the nearby alleys where the battle had occurred, the lone wolf with her coat blending two shades of ruby positioned itself near the door that lead into a closed nightclub. The signs of dawn was fast approaching. Fourty-two more minutes, she had thought to herself. There was still enough time to return back to her normal state and let herself drift into a half-conscious, half-unconscious state. A few sad whimpers slipped past the animal's mouth as it's muscles clenched, letting the fur sink into it's very skin; her canine face slowly morphing to one that's human.
Finally, Amorei was human again. Her cuts and gashes still remained on her bare naked body as she slumped against the grimy wall of the alley. She wondered how she would get back to the Facility at the state she was in. Taking on a mutant spontaneously without thought clearly was a bad idea for the Shapeshifter.
