Starlight gift for @elysica-ohteco
Left on Elysica’s pillow was a letter, her name written on it in East’s handwriting.
Hey babe,
So, this Starlight I’m doing something different, but I think it’s the smart call. I got you a gift, but it’s not something technically tangible. Like, you could touch it, but you’re not going to be bringing it into our houses or anything. That’s not a command or anything, that’s just a like a physical fact and all.
I’m really bumbling this, but let me explain.
Beginning tomorrow a workforce is going to head into the neighborhood where the orphanage is and is going to start fixing up all of the buildings in it. They’ll start with the houses, giving them solid walls, and then working on their ventilation before fixing up the furniture inside and all. Decorations will come later, but they’ll happen. Shopfronts will get declared and people interested in opening businesses can apply to set up in the shop, and get help from business advisers to make sure things’ll run smoothly. After the houses and businesses are going well, the workers will start on some aesthetic work for the neighborhood. It’ll take time, for the work and getting some of the workers, to get it all done, but it’s going to start. We’re going to turn the neighborhood into a safe and happy place to grow up.
It’s called Operation Stormeshield, in honor of the woman who made me feel safe and happy.
I love you, East
