Little Life Update

Hello all, I am alive. So much has happened since I've last been here! I am now in my 6th year in university, it is taking a while because I am taking 3 courses per term. Still considered full-time time but it is at a pace that is good for me. Still an honours student and currently writing my BAH thesis (Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Classical Civilization). I graduate next year.

I am in a long term relationship with another Ace person for the first time and I am loving it. I am so happy with them it's like I've found my match.

I've made such great friendships that I believe to be long lasting <3

Got a job that I just adore and am surprisingly the supervisor there!

This is a reminder to all that even when you have been at your absolute lowest there is still hope out there and things do change and turn around. I'm 27 now, there was a time when I didn't think I would make it past 18, then 21, and yet here I am and while things aren't always easy, things are much better and my coping is better also.

I hope you all are doing wonderful too! For those who aren't doing so great, remember there is hope.

Guys! I made a little garden on my moms balcony and I’m so happy with how it looks. Hopefully I can watch it grow and be happy during the summer before I have to leave. With my moms wonderful green thumb I’m guessing there will be no problem! I’m so happy 😁

(Possible) Exciting News!

So I am the supervisor of a cafe in a big park where I live and as I was there, a big high-up guy (maybe CEO?) stopped by. Of course, I didn't know him or recognize him until one of my employees pointed him out.

I went and said hello and we ended up talking about my education. I told him my dreams of working in either a curatorial or archival-type job, leaning toward archival because of job security. I joked that I bet the park probably had a bunch of archives. He told me that they did and that he also had a bunch of art that they wanted to digitalize and he was talking about needing someone for contract work and he said two birds with one stone would be nice. I did warn him I hadn't done my masters yet but he said we would "be in touch".

My heart is just racing. If this job could get me an "in" with my dream job I am going to freak the fuck out. Even if it is a few years I am willing to still try and fight for that.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I got a new tattoo! This little guy is named Pierre lol. The mushroom type is called amanita muscaria.

... Don't mind the redness. The fair-skinned ginger in me always defaults to red.

Reflection

Maybe it is the mood i’m in now (cause it changes often, #BPD) but i’m feeling a lot better today. This morning started off rough because I dug a bit into my past but upon some reflection I realized I am thankful for where I am in my life right now. I am happier now than I have been since I was in grade 7 and prior. Yea things aren’t perfect and honestly I don’t think it ever will be, that isn’t how the world works. Sometimes things are stressful and I wonder how I will ever manage to get over that hurdle but then somehow I manage it. 

Things were really bad for a long time. I looked at my future and saw black. I literally never ever EVER thought that I would be 25 today (March 8th [ today ] is my birthday) I thought I would be dead. I’m in uni and killing it, I have amazing friendships that I have nurtured and kept alive, I am so close with family and I am okay. There are a lot worse places to be. 

I hope later on, future me will remember and feel these words and remember that just because things suck, doesn’t mean the world is ending.

Hi! Is there a fictional world from a book you would like to live in if you could?

Hmm that is so hard! There are so many I would love to live in but honestly it would probably all end up with me dying. Oh, okay! Okay well I would want to live in Erin Morgenstern’s “The Night Circus” so I could go to the circus and experience what they did. Although that is just like, one night if I were to like, LIVE in a world ... hmm Oh okay Harry Potter i’m sorry, lame answer but i’m serious if I went to Hogwarts and did magic and shit I would be so happy. (Hufflepuff of course!)
