Two years ago yesterday I had a wedding. Yay robot bride and groom!
Then we went to the bottom picture, a welcome destination after getting married in a blizzard.
Awesome moments in my life
My husband just came and stood in the door to my office and said "Shabba!".
I cannot stop laughing.
It's the little things y'all.
In which the hurricane stops everything
My street was particularly hard hit by Hurricane Irene, bringing down trees and power lines, as well as ruining the railing on my deck with the winds. I can't complain because it could have been much more severe but we aren't scheduled to have electricity again until the weekend.
Let's hope the really nice people at the electric company get my street back up before their projected date.

One, two, three WIP
Ahoy hoy!
I am busy working on my book series right now and I have finished two first drafts and am working on a third. I have been working on them in a rotating fashion and it's been going very well for me so far. Generally when I have finished one project with one set of characters, I move onto another then go back to the first. It's helped to keep me from getting bored and keeps my eyes fresher when I go back to my first project. There's also a fair bit of outlining to be done - I can't put any plants or payoffs into my books without knowing where they fall, either in these books or later in the series.
I hope to have a polished version of my first fantasy novel within a month or two. Here's hoping!

Where I Write
This is my corkboard in my office. It's quite a mess in here right now, I promised myself that this Saturday I'd actually get it organized in here - something I have been threatening for at least a month now.
My corkboard holds fashion images, things I like like old business cards and postcards, photos, a signed picture of Niki Taylor and a beanie baby. I used to have all of these magazines, tons upon tons in my house and I finally went through them all and recycled them. The few images I wanted to keep made it onto the corkboard.
Sometimes I can't believe that I spend so much time in this little room and it's such a mess!
