We had so much fun at Ichibancon 2015!! What a great way to start the new year. I was overpowered by the kindness, respect, and loving atmosphere the con-goers created and showed both myself and Jenny for our costumes. I could not have asked for more. At the end of the day I let it sink in and I had a moment of joyful tears, for I have worked very hard on Gyarados and being shown that it has paid off made every hour, prick, derailment, and mistake fixed worth it.
I am so excited for the photographs we took to surface. If you're looking through the Ichibancon 2015 tag and see me here/took my photo, please let me know! I'd love to see! I know I took some funny face ones with ya'll and I have got to get my hands on them! I was even caught by several PokeMasters! (Don't worry, they'll release me to the wilds when they see how vicious Gyarados can be!!!)
As a further cap of the weekend, I made some great friends who I hope to see sooner rather than later! I have not had much chance to really break out into the state and meet people with similar interests so this was really quite wonderful! You can find me on Facebook if I missed connecting with you, I'd love to hang out, see a movie, or have a crafting/cosplay party! Hit us up at https://www.facebook.com/AdariaDesignsCosplay
We also saw some incredibly talented artists in the Artist Alley so I am going to tag their pages here so you can see them! Sadly, one of the artists I cannot seem to find on tumblr, so here is their deviantart/tumblr/links according to their business card:

I spent about twenty minutes with these ladies trying on different cinchers before I decided on Twilight Sparkle. I wanted Rarity but, alas, she was sold out and Discord, alas, was also sold out of my size! It was hard to choose but I chose Twilight in the end as it would match my wardrobe best; I have a lot of purple! It's so cute and I will be taking a photo of it eventually when I put together more of an outfit. I'm thinking I will wear it to BronyCon2015 on a more casual day. Can't wait! These women were so nice and helpful and made such a great product it was hard to resist the purchase and support people doing what they enjoy! Check out their store, ya'll.

Okay. Okay. These girls. Ugh. The most fabulous. While all of the artists at the alley had amazing work and wares to sell I was most captured by these two. Their booth was so bright and their art style is straight up my alley. I love everything about it. I wanted to buy everything but, being on a budget, I had to buy smaller items for now. I'm really hopeful in the future I will be able to purchase something larger from them to better fund their passions as artists. I know the struggle, it is real, but I promise you all that these two are 100% legitimate and need to be supported. I feel very strongly about this. Katy, their work reminds me a bit of your style. It was so free and airy, the lines were so smooth and their coloring technique was just....perfect. Everything I wish I could do. I purchased from Sarah several stickers, which I will be putting on my car the second it stops raining, to add to my collection. (Never thought I would be a car-sticker person but here I am and I am loving it. The only shame is that one day when the car goes, so too will the stickers.) Anyway, these two lovely ladies are illustrators and graphic designers and I could not have higher praise for their kindness in person and their artwork. Also, their business cards are adorable.

This man was such a pleasure to work with. I am so very excited to see my photos and the agonizing wait will maybe kill me (not really, but you know what I mean, people!). He had such a simple setup at the entrance of the convention center/hotel and I was flattered he had come up to ask me for my photos. I do not seek out the photographs, though I probably should in the future so I don't miss out! He took so many photos, was very patient with me as my tail is over six feet long and took a moment to set up for the photos itself. He is clearly a professional and you should check out his work. He also has a tumblr but not nearly all of his great photographs are on them: salkcity.tumblr.com Check him out!
