Trying to find all the denzo scenes and I got up to season eight -

Does Damon really get no moment to mourn Enzo other than one half second staring into the fire?????

Apparently not! The last two seasons really destroyed the relationship between Damon and Enzo, ESPECIALLY with Enzo’s death. Damon should have gotten way more time to mourn, just as Bonnie did. He was his best friend for five years in Augustine, the only person who kept him sane. His inital ‘death’ affected Damon so severely that he turned his humanity off for fifty-odd years!! He was willing to give up the comfortable enough life he had gained in Mystic Falls with Stefan and Elena to leave town with Enzo for an indefinite amount of time, to help him, refusing to abandon him for a second time. When Enzo just disappeared with nothing but a text, Damon refused to give up searching for him! And he was clearly heartbroken when he finally found out that he was dead. He didn’t get much of a chance to mourn then either but he at least got a hell of a lot more than he did in season 7!

It just bothers me so much how their dynamic was destroyed so terribly, and not even in a way thag added to the plot; it was purely lazy writing. They just didn’t care. And that hurts more. Damon should’ve been allowed to grieve Enzo. (On that note, a lot of the characters deserved more time to grieve and mourn the people they lost and the things they went through.)

You are correct! I feel like the Damon vibe is going to come out way more in Hope now that she's on her own for her the most part. I mean, it already has - stopping stranger in the middle of the road to rant about her humanity and morals to them to make all of the nasty Human Feelings go away before feeding on them/probably killing them? Total Damon move, Hope.

But yeah, if Hope was on her own, at least for a good few months maybe even a few years, she would be in pretty much the exact same boat as Damon, in which case, even if someone did decide to try and get her to switch it back on, it just wouldn't work. She would absolutely keep it off for 50 or more years.

All I can say about season five is that its just sad and unnecessary 😭😭

Also, we deserved Klayley forehead kisses and hugs. Lots of them. Especially in the later seasons.

Season three is just so good for Klayley the amount of development they get is unmatched. Also I love how it spills over into season four to where Klaus is yelling and threatening as always and Hayley just says "take a walk. Calm down" and he DOES. ahhh its all just the calm before the storm of s5 and im NOT READY 😢

Ahhh yes, those were some of their best scenes, where they would just understand each other and acted like a married couple. They were perfect. YOU ARE NOT READY AND NEITHER AM I
