My current research question for my personal design project is ‘Can design help people understand their role in society?’
When people think of design, they think of piece of furniture or something that is aesthetically and functionally appealing. My past time in my furniture and product design course has made me realize that design is not only for creating products, services or systems, its a process of problem solving which can be explored in various ways. I am still researching my idea, but the main concept I am trying to look into is looking at the design we have inside us, the way we design (problem solve) to live our lives and how we can take that understanding to be resourceful to our surroundings (society).
