Day 9/100 #the100dayproject I recently listened to #embraceyourweird by @feliciaday and absolutely loved it. She totally gets me and all my weirdness. I’ve been #reading a lot lately about #creativity and how to keep the creative juices flowing as I #write and #illustrate my first picture book. She talked about some of the monsters that get in our way as we try to create, so I’ve been #collaging some of them this week as I worked on my #morningpages They each have names - Jealousy Jake (green), Shelly Shame (orange), Failure Felix (blue), and the one I created today Perfectionist Pearl (pink). Now they have names and faces and I can tell them to be quiet and go away when they try to scare me off track. I loved the book so much, I got a physical copy so I can slowly work through all the great prompts she has throughout the book. So many of them I know will be helpful in my quest to get my manuscript done. I’m so excited to have yet another resource to keep pushing me towards my goal even though my monsters are trying to hold me back.
