Your Worth
the city you built
he named a city of loneliness after you, but you walked its streets like a traveler, planting gardens where feelings were buried. you learned the heart is no grave, it is soil, and everything laid down there grows back, softer, wiser, yours.
you had everything, they said, yet affection came without ceremony, so you became your own ceremony. beauty stopped needing permission, your words turned to honest magic, and when you left the rest to God, you finally came home to yourself.

Shattered Trust: How My Best Friend Became My Biggest Betrayer
Hey everyone, it's me still haunted by those school days that turned from golden to heartbreaking memories. If you've ever had a "best friend" trash your skin, your heart, and your whole vibe to climb her own ladder, this is for you.I'm finally ready to unpack the backstab from my so-called best friend that changed everything.
We were inseparable from Class 6 onward, two giggling girls running through the school corridors . She was my partner-in-crime for skipping boring classes, my shoulder to cry during my sad times, the one who'd share her tiffin when mine I don't like mine. Recess was our favourite swapping secrets while sitting in the playground, talking about our favourite actor, and promising to be best friends forever. I trusted her with it all: my insecurities about having a dark skin tone . She knew my soul.
Until, when we were in class 9. One afternoon when I returned from the break I heard her talking trash about my dark skin tone like "how dark skin she has" and trashing my character. I was dumbfounded to even confront her at that time and had to control my tears . At the end of the day I confronted her asking why she talked about me but all I got was her saying "I pretended to be your friend to use you but now I don't need you anymore". That day I understood why people talk about how friendship heartbreak is more painful than love heartbreak.Three years of trust and loyalty gone. I distanced from all the common friends we had and I was lonely, no friends till I completed class 12 to protect myself.
At school I may have been lonely but my home was my safe heaven. I had 2 important reasons to overcome the heartbreak. One being my family's constant support and reminding me I am beautiful the way I am and the other is BTS(kpop group) songs of self love .
Years later, post-boards, the sting lingers. But school heartbreak taught me: true friends fight with you, not against. I'm still healing ,new friends in college, learning to trust again and open my heart.

Things that quietly change your life (if you let them)
Having a growth mindset
Stepping outside your comfort zone (even if it’s scary)
Meditating — even if your brain is loud
Learning to bounce back (resilience isn’t always loud)
Asking for feedback… and actually hearing it
Setting goals that make sense (not just look good)
Choosing to see the light — even on dark days
Caring for your mind, your body, your sleep
Learning to speak kindly — to others and yourself
Sitting with your thoughts (hello, self-reflection)
Reading books that stretch your mind
Setting clear goals, not just busy ones
Fighting procrastination (gently, not with shame)
Being grateful — even for the little stuff
Choosing growth over comfort
Designing a morning routine that feels like you
Staying curious, always learning
Building emotional intelligence (feel it, don’t fake it)
Making art, even if no one sees it
Learning time isn’t the enemy — it’s the mirror
Putting yourself on the list (not last)
Journaling just to breathe on paper
Giving your time to something bigger (volunteer)
Celebrating your wins — big and tiny
Adding a few more that matter:
Letting go of people who don’t clap for you
Forgiving yourself for old versions of you
Unlearning what broke you
Being patient with your progress
Believing you're allowed to be happy
You won’t master all of these overnight. But try one. Then another. And one day you’ll look back and realize You became someone you’re proud of.
