Kitty Litter

I’m one who is not afraid to embrace new things.  As a child, when Pringles were first introduced, I wasn’t afraid of those curved potato chips in a can.  Nope, I welcomed them.  When everyone started getting multiple tattoos, all over their bodies, and even on their faces.  I didn’t judge, I said you do you.  When my wife announced she was getting a tattoo of her favorite NFL team, I didn’t file for divorce.  I said fine, I am a guy who can embrace new things. (I do try to hang on to some things.  I still get misty-eyed when I think about how I can’t get Fruit Stripped Gum anymore.) But finally, I’ve run into something that to me makes no sense.  While at the store to pick up some kitty litter, I spotted something that was so weird.  Tidy Cats Kitty litter has a new product.  It’s new BAHAMA SUNSET Kitty Litter.  Yep, it had pictures of cats frolicking on the beach.  One with a surfboard and another cat on a hammock under a palm tree, wearing sunglasses.  What in the world is going on? Is there a person alive who will come home and announce, “Hey, I got that new Bahama Sunset kitty litter, finally, the house will have that relaxing beach smell.”  Will someone have guests at their home who will say, “Do you mind if I sit near the kitty litter box, it makes me think of my summer vacation at the shore.”  I truly doubt it.  Who thinks up these stupid things?  The Bahama Sunset kitty litter had a three-dollar off sticker on it, so I purchased it.  Don’t judge me.  Three dollars is three dollars.  If my cats start meowing with a Jamaican accent, I’ll let you know.

Hey beauties, it’s Leah, the owner of this blog. I’ve recently decided to change the logo of B.F.S again! Yes, I know what you could be thinking:

“I liked the logo before”

“Make up your mind!”

“It was fine before”

or even “I didn’t really notice”

I was afraid that changing the logo meant I would confuse my audience or even turn some of them off but I came to the conclusion that this blog and brand is evolving! Our mission is still the same and the content will always be geared towards being a safe space for Black Woman to evolve! Into the woman of HER dreams and that is what The Black Feminine Society is all about, it’s about the journey!

We wanted a bold, sleek yet elegant and sexy design. Simplicity is key, it’s Classy Tip #3 for a reason 😉

I say all this to say:

Don’t be afraid to rebrand and evolve! Embracing change can be intimidating but it’s essential for growth. On your feminine journey you’ll find that you will feel the need to make some changes and that’s okay! Do what’s best for you! Don’t worry about anyone else, your tribe will find you because of your aura. Your unique energy and essence will naturally attract the right people into your life. Like a magnetic force, your aura will resonate with those who are destined to be a part of your tribe.

Your aura is like a vibrant, colorful beacon that radiates your true self. It is a reflection of your thoughts, emotions, and intentions. When you embrace your authenticity and stay true to who you are, your aura becomes even more powerful, drawing in those who align with your values and purpose.

Your tribe may not necessarily be a large group; it could be a few individuals who share your passion, dreams, and vision. They will support and uplift you, understanding your journey on a deep level. Together, you will create a harmonious energy, inspiring each other to grow and evolve.

Maturity is like staring at your reflection in water. At first glance, it’s clear you see yourself, your features, your familiar edges. But the longer you look, the more the ripples distort what’s there. You start to realize maturity isn’t about seeing a perfect image of who you are, but embracing the shifts, the changes, the distortions that come from time, experience, and growth.

It’s accepting that sometimes the reflection is messy, unclear, and uncertain, but trusting that beneath the surface, you’re still you just evolving.
