Just browsing through the GP assignments and there’s so much intentional inter-fed matchups, the US ice dancer blood bath for a new top three teams, the Finnish ice dancers, Minkyu and Jun, the other juniors migrating to seniors.

Also the combined worlds every few years idea is clearly not for persons who are already fs fans. They reported increased attendance from last Olympics to Milan it’s meant to encourage fs fans to also invest in the other ISU affiliated sports and attend speed skating and synchro events by forced association with each other.

Not to play devils advocate but I don’t have much of a gripe with the concept of a Grand Prix semi final if it potentially means the senior Grand Prix starting earlier to accommodate.

#I’ve always found it questionable that the junior Grand Prix quite literally starts in August while the senior starts in October #and then you have everyone frantically travelling and trying to beat jet lag before December #so they’re adding a whole other competition everything has to start earlier #which I don’t mind and also I don’t mind having another Grand Prix because it opens up the field #especially if we want to move away from the same three countries at the Grand Prix final model you know #figure skating
