What kind of lawyer are you? (Curious)

I'm technically not one yet. You're not actually a lawyer until you've been admitted to practice law in a jurisdiction, which means admission to the local Bar. I am presently waiting on Bar results. (Again 😔)

I'll likely wind up practicing criminal law or family law or some mix of the two.

I am clerking for a judge in the meantime, which I enjoy immensely.

Hello! This is the super shy anon from a while back. I know its been ages but I think tumblr ate my other ask, if not sorry for repeat nd ignore, but then Covid. So, if you're still at all interested or ok with asking, for We Wake Eternally, does Obi learn the twins' names? Does he know the story of dukkra be dukkra, or figure out what Ani's intention was? I fully intended on answering this but got busy with moving and setting up my new apartment, and new job etc etc. By the time I had time, it felt awkward to answer...

Obi-Wan learning the twins' names and Anakin's intentions are supposed to be a part of the second chapter, if I can ever sort it out. I can't make it flow naturally.

As for your "dukkra be dukkra" question, I don't even know what that is but I can easily tell it's a part of the Fia's Tatooine Slave Culture.

I want to be super clear on this point: We Wake Eternally is not a Tatooine Slave Culture fic. Any resemblance to anything in Fia's TSC is coincidental.

I have a whole document detailing my own worldbuilding on the Tatooine and the blending of cultures. Overlap is inevitable but I try very hard not to intentionally borrow from TSC. I probably have stuff in that document that I don't even realize is TSC and gods willing it will stay that way.

I love what Fia did and they deserve tons of credit for their wonderful world building.

I don't like that everyone assumes that any hint of background or culture that Anakin (or Luke, or any character from Tatooine or slave character) might have has to be TSC.

I'm thrilled you enjoy my story and I hope to have the second chapter that answers your questions up eventually. I really want to write the fluffy feels...

But man I am so much better at the pain than I am at the fluff.
