Who gets to pick the movie: Shadow, since Knux doesn't really know that many.
Which one texts the other in the middle of the night to ask deep, philosophical questions while the other just makes weird jokes: Knux would ask the serious questions, Shadow wouldn't really be comfortable doing that. He'd just respond with stupid puns from Sonic if he's too tired for answering intelligently.
Who pranks the other one more often: Neither, really, but Knux if I had to pick.
Which one gets on the other’s shoulders at the concerts/games/etc: Knuckles.
Who gets super drunk and has to be carried: Heh, definitely Knux. Can you imagine him seeing somebody wearing a necklace with an emerald on it and just going ~heeeeeey what're you-~ *passes out*
Which one’s the mastermind while the other drives the getaway car: Shadow's the mastermind, Knux drives the car.
After a breakup, which one gives hugs and which one gives a firm slap to their friend’s face, telling them to get their shit together: Both would slap. Neither are too touchy-feely. Knux might awkwardly pat their back though.
Which one forces the other to get their ass out on the dance floor: Probably Knuckles.
Who comes to the rescue when the other says something stupid: Shadow, but Knuckles usually covers up his own mistakes as quickly as possible.
And of course, are they the type of friends that talk for hours about nothing, or sit in silence for hours and be totally comfortable: They'd probably be more likely to sit quietly.

Chubby Knuckles just laying down/sitting on less-chubby Sonic when they're arguing, to get him to shut up and say "uncle!"
Sonic talking for as long as he possibly can before Knuckles sitting on his chest makes it hard to breathe. Knuckles just folds his arms and laughs when Sonic tries to push him off because he has no leverage.
More about Sonic knowing different languages: He'd probably pick up/learn helpful phrases and stuff for when he's traveling to different parts of the world for fun
Oh, totally! He probably knows 'do you need help?' in ten different languages and 'do you know where the bathroom is' in fifteen. He also totally uses lingo and sometimes shifts into dialects from all over, especially when he stays somewhere else for a week or so, which confuses his friends sometimes.
Okay but Sonic taking the time to learn sign language so that he would be able to communicate with a deaf person he was saving

They point at their ears and shake their head when he starts talking, so he just grins and once they're a safe distance away 'r u ok?'
Their eyes light up and they sign back 'yes'
'Only know some. Happy u ok'. And he manages to get their name and if they need to go to the hospital if they're hurt or whatever he can translate to the secretary who they are and what they need.
Red-eyed Sonic getting confused with Shadow even more and it pisses him off so much
Shadow just stands in the background with shades and holds back laughter because 'how do you like it'
Idk if someone else has said this yet but Tails making a machine that can like mutate the dna of a subject. Boom, you have beautiful explanation of blue-eyed Shadow (and red-eyed Sonic if you've seen that yet) that fits into canon
