This is Emerdal Ahriman. His whole thing was that he was based on the David Icke-style conspiracy theorist and obsessed with apocalypses. And he completely ignored all the real conspiracies around him. He was never quite right though. He thought the empire was run by Frogoid Elites and so to keep them from tracking him, he ran away and lived in a cave.
His Lusus was a snake and so Emer was venomous, (which doesn't make much sense but it was fun). He also drank his own venom, which was a take on conspiracy theorists who drink their own urine to keep the government from tracking them.
He was eventually gonna have a hot cross species romance with Rennie's Krampine, Tygryss.
We also have a bunch of dumb spinoffs which is just Tyg and Emer in alternate universes and smooching.
