Felicity was tired from her riding lessons and had just come out of the bath. She hadn’t appreciated just how late it was and she really didn’t want to start cooking so she grabbed her phone to call for a pizza and that was when she noticed the missed calls and messages from Patrick. She was in the process of deleting them when her phone rang and without meaning to she clicked to answer.
“Hello gorgeous. I have been sitting here just thinking about you and I know that you didn’t mean what you said. You really do want me. You know that you do, you are just scared to admit it,” Patrick immediately began.
Even without seeing him Felicity knew that he had been drinking, she could hear the slurring of his words. “Leave me alone Patrick. I don’t want to talk to you.”
A bitter laugh rang out from the other end, “Believe me beautiful I don’t want to TALK to you either. I have much better plans. I’ll be round soon.”
Felicity immediately ended the call and dropped her phone on the counter. Her heart was racing and she was finding it hard to even catch her breath she was so scared. She ran round her apartment checking all the windows and doors were locked but it didn’t help. There was no doubt in her mind that Patrick would know where she lived and if he wanted to get to her he would.
Her hands trembling she reached for her phone to call the only person she could think of.
“Carter it’s Felicity,” she began, her words tumbling frantically from her lips. “I’m sorry to....Patrick called me and he said he is on his way here. He’s drunk and I don’t....I don’t know what to do.”
