Happy birthday, Paxton!
I just loved her face here
“*high-pitched voice* Brennan! Oh, I missed you so much while you were away!”
“We have a gift for the parents of the birthday girls too,” Alexis smiled as she handed a box to her son.
“Thanks, mom. You didn’t have to do that.”
“Oh, I think you guys really needed this.”
Emerson reached into the box and pulled out a set of keys.
He gasped, “Mom..”
Amanda pursed her lips and sighed. “You can take the boy out of music, but you can’t take the music out of the boy…”
“I’m sorry, babe. I know family’s the reason behind all this, but I just can’t help it. Even if I’m just helping someone else out.. I was thinking maybe I could start with songwriting, or even producing.”
“Well.. A lot of the openers at the club are unsigned. Maybe you can help them get signed?”
And that’s when Amanda saw it: the fire in his eyes had reignited.
“That’s it, babe. I’ll start my own record label, and I’ll scout musicians and sign them. When’s your next show?”
“Tomorrow night.”
“Excellent. Ah man, babe. You give me such great ideas.”
“Come on, babe. I didn't want kids then. Now? It’s not like I have a choice, right? I just ended a 10-year-long endeavour tonight so I can be with my family.”
“I know, E. I can't help but feel sorry for her.”
“She admitted that she likes seeing me suffer, and you feel sorry for her?”
“What would make her sound crazier is if you don't think you're suffering anything. Treasure your kids, E. Our kids.”
“I know. It’s just crazy to think that if I had stayed with her, I wouldn't have any of those kiddos. You know, since she's infertile.”
“Well.. they're here,” Amanda looked down at their youngest child as she slept peacefully in her crib. “Cherish them with all your heart.”
Bonus pics of them letting the feels wash over them. Except Taylor. Taylor’s 4000% over it.
She managed to give him the silent treatment right up until the night before he would leave for tour, but Emerson had had enough. Before she retreated to the guest room, he confronted her.
“Manda, I’m sorry, okay?”
“Nope. Not okay.”
“Why?”
“I appreciate that you’re apologizing, but it doesn’t make things any better.”
“How?”
“I’m gonna go ahead and take a page from your book and say that we already talked about this so there’s no use in repeating ourselves.”
