Up until Emerson was nine years old, her life was picturesque. With two older siblings, the girl was the baby of the family, and she knew it suited her best. It seemed her world was full of possibilities, and her family got by, and everything seemed well from the outside. As her older sister began to work on the ranch, their boost in income provided their family a chance to thrive. Although their lives seemed morally acceptable, both Quinn and Elijah worked to bury the truth from their youngest sibling. Their efforts provided a shield to protect her from the dark truths of their world.
Being still quite naive, Emery couldn't comprehend the shift within their family. It began as a simple banter, turning into harsh words bellowed through the four walls of their home. Even her older sister Quinn had started to push their father away, and nothing made sense to her. But being a Daddy’s girl by nature, she started to resent her sister for always being so hard on their father. The bitterness began to intensify as the man she knew as her father seemed to disappear. Their home turned from their safe space to an undeclared warzone, causing Emery to choose a side. After her dad admitted to being unfaithful and having the affair, her bitterness diminished as anger projected towards her siblings. They effortlessly kept the truth from her knowledge, breaking the line of trust between the trio. The girl swore that if she had known sooner than maybe she could’ve helped change the outcome.
Emery grew up with the unrealistic thought process for the majority of her childhood. It was only when she got to her teenage years that she finally understood the full extend of what happened when they were younger. It didn’t register in her head that her dad choice to favor another woman over their mother until her sister had left for the military, and her brother had joined up with the local gang in their city. So much had happened behind the scenes, that she was still struggling to keep up. Once the realization hit, her regret fueled a profuse apology to both siblings. Even though the conversation ended on a positive note, some bitterness lingered between the siblings.
■ WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON? ■
Having always been naturally loyal, Emerson values those close to her above anything else. She is known to stand-up to those that criticize her friends or family till the end. The female can often be found swiftly telling them off, the crude words defending their honor until the other person backs down. Some could consider the female to be rude, yet it was the determination running through her veins. Once her eye was set on something, there was nothing that could stand within her path. And though she found herself aligned with the Devils because of her siblings, Emerson is loyal to the gang, and considers them family as well.

Unlike her siblings, Emerson’s place within the gangs ranks is a little different. She doesn’t have a strict role, and though she works in management at Moonlight, she still keeps life outside of the gang. She wants to be her own person, and never lose that. Which is why she attends nursing classes at the local college. Training to hopefully one day be able to help take care of others. However, a secret that she has kept to herself is that she once patched up Payton Fischer, a known member of the Royals. And not only that, but she has also answered his calls when he requested she help with his other friends. It’s a secret she keeps close to her, because she knows if the Devils ever found out that she was willing helping the Royals, they’d throw her out. But at the same time, she knows she can’t tell any of her ‘friends’ the truth of her alliance, and now Emerson finds herself torn between two worlds.
■ RELATIONSHIPS. ■
■ Isabella Lawrence: Out of everyone she’s met in the Devils, she finds herself really valuing her friendship with Isabella. The other woman is kind where it matters, and strong when needed. It’s something Emerson hopes she can find in herself one day.
■ Payton Fischer: He was the first Royal she helped patch up, and now someone she considers a good friend. Except she knows that if the truth about who she was came out, he’d never trust her again. So she keeps lying, hoping not to hurt him, but time is running out.
■ Malcolm Alcott: Is another Royals she’s helped. Though his attitude sometimes bothers her, she knows she could call him, and he’d be there. However, because he’s an Alcott, she knows she has to be very careful around him with her secret.
