A quick representation of what the weather in socal is like lately, cloudy and smokey. Air quality isn’t great lol I haven’t been outside except to go to and from work. I’ve also got an anatomy exam on Tuesday night, so I’m trying to get used to studying again!

Hi y'all, another life update! I didn't get into med school this year (got waitlisted tho, so that means I'm doing something right at least!). But I'm excited to announce that I'm going to be attending UCSD for my Master's of Science in Bioengineering with Medical Specialization. Kinda a mouthful but it's such a cool program, geared towards engineering students aiming for a career in healthcare (hello :P). I'm also already applying for the 2021-2022 med school application cycle, so fingers crossed this time around. 🤞

Long time no post, y’all! It’s kinda just been queued reposts for the past year or so, but here’s some original content for a change lol
Quick update on my life: I graduated with bachelor’s degrees in bioengineering and neuroscience this past June. I’m currently taking an extra anatomy course while working full-time and working on med school applications. Things in my personal life have gotten a lot better since I last posted, so I’m pretty happy with how things are going right now! Hope you all are doing well and staying safe during the pandemic :)

Just got news that I was waitlisted for the one med school I got an interview invite for :) Could still end up being a rejection, but regardless I'm so happy that I've made it another step up the ladder. Fingers crossed for more good news in the coming months 🤞
Just finished attending my last undergraduate lecture ever at UCLA! I’ve still got a research paper and a final exam to complete, but then I’m done! It’s honestly quite an ambiguous feeling, since my last quarter was completely online and I don’t really get an actual commencement yet. But it’s definitely a big relief to finally be done :)
(Stay tuned to find out whether or not I get into med school eventually...)
Long time no post! How are you all adjusting to the remote learning environment? :)
It’s been both good and bad for me. The pros? I don’t have to wake up at 5am to beat traffic. I have time to relax and exercise again. The cons? I now wake up one minute before class starts on Zoom. I also have a probably very unhealthy sleep schedule.
I’m also still working two days a week at the blood center. The hospital never sleeps! If you are healthy, please consider donating blood at your local blood center. But while donating blood is an exception to stay-at-home orders, please exercise caution and stay safe! :)
