Behind a very good friend there is often a very good wine!!! That’s the case! @emidiopepe really created a fabulous Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, starting since the 1960’ , becoming one of the leader and most representative producers of this important italian grape and example of its outstanding potential of aging. Indeed Pepe has been mainly the first to demonstrate its longevity even without the use of wood but only resting in vitrified cement and bottle before to be released in commerce. The result is a wine that gives its best at least after 10 years from the harvesting and can last for many more. With its impenetrable dark red color, it is able to maintain its fruitness, with intense pulp of wild cherry and blackberry together with spicy flavors and round and complex in the palate. So I admit that we should have waited longer to open that bottle of 2014, but we couldn’t resist!!!... ➡️ Tag a friend who would have done the same!! 😄 🍷⭐️🍷⭐️🍷⭐️🍷⭐️ { Dietro un buon amico c'è spesso un ottimo vino !!! Come in questo caso! #emidiopepe ha davvero creato un favoloso Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, a partire dagli anni '60, diventando uno dei produttori leader e più rappresentativi di questo importante vitigno italiano e un esempio del suo eccezionale potenziale di invecchiamento. In effetti Pepe è stato tra i primissimi a dimostrare la sua longevità, senza l'uso del legno ma solo lasciandolo affinare in cemento vetrificato e bottiglia prima di essere commercializzato. Il risultato è un vino che dà il meglio di sé dopo almeno 10 anni dalla vendemmia e può durare molto allungo! Con il suo impenetrabile colore rosso scuro, è un vino in grado di mantenere la sua frutta, con una polpa intensa di ciliegia selvatica e mora, insieme a sapori speziati, presentandosi morbido e corposo al palato.
