Anisette

Absinthe Frappé!
It's absinthe and a dash of Anisette liqueur, shaken and served with pebble ice. Delicious!
Pomba Gira Cigana Spell (1)[*]
Pomba Gira Cigana specializes in legal matters, including lawsuits, estate distribution, immigration matters, separations, divorces, and custody issues. Cigana is Portuguese for Gypsy and Pomba Gira Cigana personifies the stereotypical Gypsy fortune-teller. She knows many secrets and divines with a pack of ordinary playing cards. If you can read cards, too, a deck of playing cards serves as an oracle or communication device for Pomba Gira Cigana.
Get a brand new deck of cards. Remove the ace and seven of diamonds and offer them to Pomba Gira Cigana.
Make your offering at a T-shaped crossroads: place a red cloth atop a black cloth.
Give Pomba Gira Cigana the pair of cards as well as seven red roses, fine cigarettes, a box of matches, and a small bottle of anisette.
Light a pair of red taper candles.
Tell Pomba Gira why you’ve called her. Tell her explicitly what you need her to do and what you will pay her when the work is completed.
[*Note: This representation of Pomba Gira takes after the Romani people and their rich culture of folklore and magic. The correct term in Portuguese for them is “Romani” and not “cigano/cigana”; however, it seems like this term and particular representation of her are fundamentally tied in certain Brazilian magical systems and I do not have enough knowledge to even attempt to edit this entry to update the language. As such, I have left the text as it is presented in the book.]

June 2nd is...
Anisette Day - Aniseed from the anis herb gives anisette its licorice or fennel flavor. While usually a dry, dry liqueur, distillers sometimes add a sugar syrup for a sweeter result. Spain, Italy, Portugal, and France lead the world in drinking this licorice-tasting drink.
I Forgot Day - On this day, you have the perfect opportunity to make up for everything that you have forgotten. Whether it was someone’s birthday or you forgot to do something you promised your partner that you would, now is the day that you can make amends for it.
World UFO Day - This day was put together to bring together enthusiasts of UFO’s and the evidence they’ve all gathered to support their existence. Knowing that the possibility that we’ll one day encounter other intelligent life in the universe is practically 100%, they knew it was vital that people started having the dialogue about their arrival long before there was accepted proof that they arrived.
My earliest memory of coffee is taking a sip of espresso with anisette with my grandfather Angelo. A daily ritual, espresso has and always will be dear to my heart. Here is a set of 4 espresso cups for you to make memories with.
