michael’s because i went to the art supplies aisle and there was someone ripping pages out of a sketchbook

this burger place called Burger’s Priest. not even Burger Priest but Burger’s Priest. i ate a hamburger for brunch like a slob while making eye contact with a woman sitting a table away from me. the one toilet washrooms had pictures of nuns and priests on the door as gender signifiers and a woman walked in on me washing my face in one but didn’t walk out until she realized that there was “just one person here” (her words).

On the topic of vaccines - do you think they'd ever invest in a Mycoplasma pulmonis vaccine for rodents? As a rat and mouse owner, preventing respiratory infections is always an uphill battle and I would gladly pay to have my babies vaccinated.

It’s possible, but only if there’s enough consumer demand, and most of that demand is likely to come from the laboratory animal scene. Rats are just not common pets compared to dogs, cats and rabbits.

A private R&D company will only spend time and money on a vaccine if they think there’s a market for it. We’ve had issues even on the human side where labs had stopped producing the Q Fever vaccine, because it’s mostly vets, farmers and abattoir workers that benefit from it and that wasn’t deemed to be enough and its production required government intervention.

^^^ also very true - theres plenty of disadvantaged older rats in rescues who need, and would love, new homes, so if theres any close by, its worth checking~
