Just finished my re-listen to the last audiobook in the Lockwood & Co. (5-book) series by Jonathan Stroud for like the 5th time and it still fuckin’ SLAPS!
I mourn it as soon as I finish it every time, it’s a near PERFECT book series.
Also the narrator for the last three books KILLS it. Her distinct character voices really bring the production to life. (The narrators of the first two books are also good, but Emily Bevan is just a rockstar.)
If you haven’t heard of or read them before, and you like the sound of a fast-paced, hilarious, paranormal series that involves a a ragtag found-family of parentified teenagers with swords, salt bombs, and magnesium flares who fight against ghosts (and also mega-corporations), you’ll love this series!!
(You’ll also learn some excellent vocabulary along the way and will probably snort out loud and shriek with laughter multiple times. You’ve been duly warned!)
