Just finished the Lockwood and co books for the second time (I didn’t remember the first, it’s a long story) and they’re actually just so good
Like don’t get me wrong, also just finished snow crash, but I really haven’t read a book this good (and accessible) in a long time
Lucy is so relatable and such a wonderful head to be inside, I really really came to love her
All in all, very satisfying ending (much more than the show’s) and the skull’s wrap up made me happy too
not to be dramatic but i am literally summoning sacred tomes from across the empire(derogatory)
At long last, we’ve come to the end of our journey through The Bartimaeus Sequence. With our reading of Ptolemy’s Gate by Jonathan Stroud the cycle of empire is complete! …Well, sort of. This book takes many turns, and those turns took us by storm! Jino absorbed the entire text in, like, a day, and Victoria remained deeply affected well after turning the final page. Michael had fun too. He really loved this one joke about certain death and soup. So join us one last time as we travel from the Other Place (our studio) to the summoning circle (your headphones) and discuss how the stories of Nathaniel, Kitty, and Bartimaeus conclude.
