"My subjects are everyday people doing everyday things," Emma explains. "I take inspiration from other cultures, their daily rituals and routines. My love for Africa plays a special part in my work. I first visited when I was 15 to Kenya. I was mesmerized by the people, the beauty of their culture and the stunning landscape. Recently in 2019 I visited Ethiopia with Create Impact an NGO working hand in hand with remote communities in Ethiopia to provide education, water and health care projects that create a lasting impact."
