it’s crazy how a little girl i met, who also had chiari, died today from a mistake that was made during her surgery by the same exact hands that just performed the very same surgery on my brain 3 months ago. her mother posted pictures of her before her last breath. she was still alive and already looked dead. her sister was hugging her body, crying, as she sat there looking completely done and seconds away from death. it breaks my heart, it eats me up. she was a warrior and she has certainly earned her wings. this is just another reason why we need to spread awareness about chiari malformation because real life people are dying from it, or from the complications from the surgery you get to try to “fix it”, or from suicide from lost hope and unbearable pain.
