Cliché (A TDA (Blackstairs) One-Shot)

A birthday present for the flawless emmacrrstairs because you are wonderful and the one true Blackstairs shipper and honestly I’m so glad I met you - you are amazing and funny and a brilliant writer and I can’t wait to meet you next year.  Happy birthday, Cate.

Emma couldn’t help but observe how cliché they were as Julian stroked his fingers up and down her arm, gently tracing the outlines of her runes as they watched the sunset.  They were sitting on the hood of Julian’s car, which was parked on a cliff that overlooked the Marina del Ray.  Julian was leaning back against the windshield and Emma was laying against him, her back to his chest and her head on his shoulder.  Every so often, Julian would lean forward and kiss Emma softly, earning him a sweet smile from his parabatai.  To any mundane passerby, they would look like a normal couple (barring Emma’s bandaged leg, a leftover from a demon nest they had just dispatched).

“This is nice.” Julian’s chest vibrated against Emma’s ear as he spoke.  Julian ran his long fingers through her messy hair, working it free of its loose braid.  Emma nodded, stretching up and kissing Julian’s neck lightly.  The setting sun was turning the ends of Julian’s hair as gold as Emma’s and it made Emma’s brown eyes, the color of dark amber, sparkle. Julian fought the urge to pull Emma up to him and kiss her until neither of them could breathe.

“When do we have to go home?” Emma asked quietly, shifting her bandaged leg into a awkward position.  Getting over her fear of the marina had been easy when Julian was there to hold her.  Emma knew that he would keep her safe from the waves and the water even if she didn’t believe it herself.  She loved looking out at the ocean from a distance but getting up close and personal was the last thing she wanted to do.

“We can stay out for a while.” Julian nuzzled the back of her neck and kissed her skin lightly, grinning when he was rewarded by a shiver.  “No one will miss us; they’re not expecting us until midnight.”

Emma hummed softly, turning her head to the side and planting light kisses on Julian’s jaw, grinning when his muscles jumped.  “Someone likes this,” she teased, sitting up and pivoting to face him.  Being careful of her wounded leg, she straddled him, smirking down at him when his face reddened.  “You can’t seriously be shy now, Blackthorn.” She teased, rolling her hips forward slightly, biting her tongue before she could say or do anything else.

“Someone could see,” Julian whispered absentmindedly, distracted by his parabatai and her tempting position in his lap.

Emma kissed a line from his jaw up to his earlobe; she nibbled it slightly before answering.  “Who’s going to come looking?”

Julian sat up, peeling his back from the windshield, and kissed Emma hard, rucking her shirt up with his fingers before pressing his hands to her skin, fumbling with the clasp of her bra in a way he knew drove her nuts.  True to form, she let out a groan, her hips jerking into his as she kissed him harder, biting his lip and sipping the blood away.

“Get in the car.” Julian commanded, sliding off the car and opening the back door. Emma smiled wide.  Victory. It was so hard to get him to let go and be dominant; when he was, it was a real treat.

She crawled inside first, letting Julian enjoy the view of her spread out on the backseat, her injured right leg hanging over the edge of the seat. “You want to be on top, hm?” She asked him, cocking an eyebrow as he folded his long legs inside, closing the door with some difficulty.  It was nearing dark now - the clock on the dash said it was nearly eleven at night - and in the dim light of the car, Emma could see Julian’s eyes, pupils blown, and his lips hungrily waiting to attack hers.

He kissed her hard, letting the suppressed adrenaline from their earlier battle fuel him.  Julian couldn’t remember the last time he’d had a sex drive - sure, Emma was attractive as heck and Julian loved kissing her and cuddling with her when they slept every night, but he rarely wanted her in the physical way that most teenage boys did.  This was a welcome exception.  He’d gladly have her here and now if he didn’t find car sex terribly cliche, not to mention awkward and a bit gross.  So Julian contented himself with running his hands over Emma, enjoying his dominant state of mind, relishing how good Emma felt underneath him.  She was always the one on top, always in control and normally Julian loved it but he wanted a turn this time.

Julian pinned Emma’s arms above her head, lowering his torso to hers, kissing her lightly and tenderly.  “You’re mine,” he whispered, squeezing her wrists, pressing his hips to hers in a way that tore a groan from her lips.  She nodded encouragingly as he moved on top of her, kissing and touching her like he’d always wanted to.  Maybe he had just always been afraid of dominance and leadership or maybe he was simply afraid of hurting Emma but now that he had her underneath him and now that he had his bravery, he wasn’t about to let go.

Emma’s injured leg was throbbing and her back was cramping but there was no way she was going to stop her parabatai from this sudden bid for dominance.  On the contrary, it was turning her on; his fearless bites and nips, his adorable little groans in the back of his throat, and his needy hands roaming all over her torso made it hard to think anything more than yes, please.  She stopped when Julian laughed, his smile boyish and familiar.  “What?” She asked defensively, squirming against his hips, trying to release the pressure building there.

“Nothing,” Julian kissed her nose, her cheek, the pulse at the base of her throat.  “I love you.”

“I love you too.” She whispered, turning her head to the side so Julian could kiss down her throat the way he always liked to.  “Oh, man,” she muttered.  “Jules, it’s eleven fourty-five; the kids’ll expect us home anytime now!

Julian sighed, kicked open the car door, and got off of Emma; she immediately missed the close warmth of his body on hers.  Every nerve still buzzing on both of their parts, the two teenagers prepared to drive home, holding hands the entire way.

Of course, Emma’s injured leg gave Julian the perfect excuse to carry her upstairs to his bedroom, where they continued their initial course of action.

HELLO EVERYONE! So recently I reached 1,000 followers and I thought that I would make a follow forever/appreciation post to appreciate some folks that have made my Tumblr experience such an amazing one.

FIRST OF ALL I would like to thank everyone that came here for the Shadowhunter Chronicles and is still here even though I'm now obsessed with The 100 as well.  You are all gems and I love you :P

emmacrrstairs, who writes the best fanfics, encouraged my Blackstairs shipping fetish, and made me quite happy at a time I needed it the most.

thecarstairsheir is the Octavia to my Bellamy, the Monty to my Jasper, the Jem to my Will, and the Julian to my Emma.  I don't know what I'd be without her.  Emotionless, probably.

emmacordeliacarstairs is a massive inspiration, a huge sweetheart, and possibly the only one who enjoys setting herself up for the feels that I provide via fanfics.

thefuriousmoles is my idol.  I look up to her so much and I love her to infinity.  She's always been there for me even when she (and I) didn't know I needed someone).

billyhelliot, whose writing style has influenced mine dramatically and whose opinions have opened my eyes in more than one way. She is such a genuine person and she will not take BS from ANYONE.

mortalacademy, AKA the mother hen of Tumblr, who always looks out for everyone regardless of how she's feeling. It is truly an inspiration. <3

Things to be Aware of if You Talk with Me: A Comprehensive List

If we talk about my OTPs, expect me to never calm down.  Ever.

Fic ideas = three pages worth of imagined scenarios

I will make sexual jokes unless you make it clear that you're made uncomfortable by them.  Then, I shall not.

I will make puns about fictional characters constantly and everywhere.

Updates, Explanations, and Apologies

Due to some events in my personal life, for the next 6ish weeks, I won't be on Tumblr very often (about 30 minutes a day). I'm going to continue to write fanfiction and try to post it but most of my posts will be queued. I'm going to try to get to my requests asap but there are some Christmas fics that I've written that I really want to post (as well as a new chapter of Silence) so those may be put on hold as well. I truly am sorry to anyone who messages me on Skype, Whatsapp or here on tumblr - I'm going to try to answer you asap but I'm not going to have my phone and laptop very much until my break is over in January. Once again, I am so sorry to everyone - this is not how I wanted my break to be but *sighs* such is life. I love you ❤️
