Walking into the bar on the island, Emma pulled her hair back in a loose ponytail at the base of her neck. A scowl on her lips. The only bookstore on the island didn’t have many books at all. Mostly some trash newspapers that not even the government takes seriously...normally. An article caught her attention about a certain man that Emma was curious about.
Flopping down in a bar stool, Emma ignore the people around her and the smell of the alcohol. Smiling, though she hid how fake it was, to the bar tender, Emma spoke. “Do you have any tea? I’m waiting for someone.” Anyone really.
Reaching in to her ever present bag, she took out a small notebook with brown cover, pen, and finally a chocolate bar. Breaking off a piece, she ate waiting for the bartender to come back with her tea.
