Fictober23 day 1: "It's not too late, let's go."
(Orignal work)
“It’s not too late, let’s go.”
Emily just looked up when the man was talking to her. The long black hair was always the one to greet her ever since she entered this place. Despite all the tests, talking with Markus here made her think there could be something there for her.
She gave a slight smile. “So where would you think to go to?”
"Something silly, like a boat ride. You said you've never seen the ocean." He looked so excited talking about it.
Maybe there could be a time like that. I still don't see how.
She just looked down. “Sure...once everything here is done.” Emily thought little of her own life, but the thought of going somewhere with him. That just sounded nice.
I was always too high maintenance getting sick all the time. I'm not strong.
It was then she felt his hands brush away the hair that was covering her eyes. It had been quite long since she wanted to hide herself away. That's the one thing she asked these so-called specialists. To leave her hair alone.
“You can. I’ll make sure of it. I promise. So show more of those eyes.”

Emmers just stretched at her little place at the coast. Her parasitic tongue wiggled for breakfast. It had been a very long time since she had a dream from when she was still Emily. Wasn't a bad dream, she welcomed seeing him again.
I do wonder what he would think seeing my eyes now. I’ve gone catty. Haha.
Her eyes were more unnatural since she turned into this. Black where the whites used to be, while the iris was a cat-like yellow. Still, she never hid them. That was what Emily would do.
“Well Makus, you were right. The ocean is fantastic!”
Emmers greats the day with her normal enthusiasm. A simple love of just life. That's how it should be really. No one told her not to.
Who needs being human now anyway? I’m gonna see it all.
