Used to have an ANGRY dog.

Like the kind others feared.

THANKFULLY this dog knew his ranks in the family and was all about protecting but he was also somewhat crazy or super paranoid.

This dog must have been from another life cause he would attempt-attack seemingly innocent but was smart enough to know I was second to alpha(to my dad) so I could punch him or whatever I needed to get him to stop.

He had a sworn enemy - a German Shepard Olie. These two would insta-attack. So this guy who loved his dog and me would have to jump on our dogs and punch them down and pull their ears and lick them to stop fighting. Ridiculous. And probably dangerous cause I was like 100 lbs of bones at that time. (Think emo teen).

(He was 170 lbs, I was not…) like no training could fix this. Finally he was so old and was like forget this.

Anyhoo looking back that was sort of a good experience because I’m not often scared of dogs. I mean if I see an angry pit bull pounce a fence I won’t go up but I’m thankful to have grown up with dogs.

Horses on the other hand holy moley they’re HUGE, how do people handle them? My gal friends were rancher types and I’m a weakling. They’ve confirmed this.

I suppose all I’m saying is there may be value to getting the youth to spend time with crazy / huge animals within reason so they aren’t wusses.
