here & now (emo mixtapes, music videos, and so on)
Twinkledad’s is back for the time being. This site fell dormant for a few reasons. I’ll delve into it in the next post coming up in around a week. However, over the past few months I’ve made a few mixtapes and music videos. They’ll be posted here with context. Check them out if you want. Bless, Willard.
Twinkledad’s Pro Father 3 (a midwest emo mixtape)
The original Twinkledad’s show (Twinkledad’s School Survival Guide) has not been archived, nor will it ever be. In its entirety, at least. It used to work as weekly pinterest mood boards for transitioning into college, with highly specific topics such as ”having intense emotional feelings about S2E9 of Spongebob”. The intention was to painfully open up about my personal life, and given that I was really not doing well at that time, I hope it’s understandable why a good chunk of it will be left in the past. ‘Pro Father 3′ was the penultimate episode of the show, emphasizing the excitement to return home for winter break and masturbate nostalgia by playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. This was an attempt at an emo skate tape.

“If you know Tacoma, you fucking know” - Harper, in the comments of this video.
from my grave to yours, i hope this worm finds you | a “midwest emo” mixtape
The title is in reference to Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl. There’s nothing much to say that hasn’t been mentioned in the description. It’s comprised entirely of covers, all of which are fun to listen to individually. I don’t know how it works in a mixtape setting.
ORTHODOXXER - STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT
‘Zoomer punk for the masses’.
*TUMDUST* - your feet will stay warm all day long
BACK WHEN I WAS NEARING THE END OF 8TH GRADE…
I FOUND AN ROAD TRIP THEMED OBSCURE 90’S EMO PLAYLIST ON YOUTUBE. AFTER I GRADUATED MIDDLE SCHOOL, I WAS OBSESSED WITH THIS PLAYLIST, AND I REMEMBER POPPING IN MY EARBUDS AND LISTENING TO IT IN THE BACKSEAT OF MY MATERNAL GRANDMA’S CAR. HERE ARE THE SONGS I REMEMBER FROM THE PLAYLIST:
Samuel - “Empty and Then Some”
Friends Unseen - “Drowning Act”
Far Apart - “Hazel”
Eldritch Anisette - “Suckerpunch”
Leiah - “Last Part Of The Dance”
Carlisle - “Starvin’ Marvin”
???
Evergreen - “Shoulders”
An M.I.J song
???
Peterbuilt - “Regulation”
Sleeping For Sunrise - “Goodnight”
???
Ache Hour Credo - “Benji and the Pigman”
???
Three Shades of Dirty - “First Fall is Fall”
???
Psara - “Christopher Columbo”?
???
July - “Untitled”
I WONDER WHAT HAPPENED TO IT, BECAUSE I CAN’T FIND IT ANYMORE. EITHER IT GOT DELETED OR PRIVATIZED, I WISH I COULD SEE IT AGAIN, TO RELIVE THE RECENT NOSTALGIA OF BEING LISTENING TO IT IN MY GRANDMA’S CAR.
