Hearing the Twitter user EmoBlackThot come out as a man is…. Unnerving. This is an account that black females thought they could relate to. He would post positive tweets, Health check ins, relationship advice, and even menstrual related tweets. The menstrual tips and female cosplay is the weird parts. How are you going to tell your large platform good cramping pills and vitamins to use during your period, but then say, “Haha here’s my face reveal I’m actually a man.” Isaiah, the man who claims to be behind the account, is trying to profit from the situation and rebrand the account to promote his DJ ventures. He’s entered our safe space and played with it and just thought it was okay. He literally played as a woman to get some Twitter clout. Black women will not forgive him easily, let’s see how he recovers from this. :/

Last year literally four days before my birthday twitter erupted because of Emoblackthot. I was literally on my way to class sipping an ice coffee scrolling through twitter and then boom.... hate it.

So this whole emoblackthot fiasco has me so dizzy like I really wasn’t expecting it. Whole time I thought it was someone named Nicole. I’m a little mad because this man literally scammed so many people into sending him money and on top of that he released this narcastic video basically saying how he would start using his following to further his career?? The video might I add was a little cringy and it didn’t seem genuine at all. And I really feel for the countless bw who supported him thinking he was one of them. And honestly I think he made it worse by 1-releasing that YouTube video and 2-doing that paper magazine interview cuz to me it seems like he’s only about the money and I just can’t get with it. The whole thing is just messy I can’t.
