On 28 May 2015, Mr Jean-Paul Forceville and Mr Botond Szebeny, Chairman of the Management Board and Secretary General of PostEurop respectively attended the CERP Plenary in Sofia, Bulgaria. CERP is the European organisation for the postal regulators and ministries.
This 50th Plenary meeting begun with an opening speech from Mr. Valeri Borissov, the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of Bulgaria and was attended, beyond the CERP Members, by many of PostEurop stakeholders such as the UPU, ERGP, EMOTA, etc. Botond Szebeny had the opportunity to hold a presentation on the UPU and EU related activities of PostEurop, while Jean-Paul Forceville participated in a panel discussion on the key future European regulatory issues.
This was also a great opportunity for PostEurop to meet the new CEO of Bulgarian Post, Mr. Deyan Daneshki, by explaining the vision, goals and objectives of the Association. This meeting was also important to elaborate on the latest developments concerning to the Digital Single Market Strategy of the Commission as well as on the outcome of the CEO meeting of 16 April with the EU Commission. It was also discussed how Bulgarian Post could contribute to the success of the related ongoing E-Commerce Industry Initiative.
