i cried at my desk on friday night, and again this afternoon, when i read john's email about peter.

i laughed when i showed a coworker a video of john dancing. open office floor plan means you usually have to explain to someone what made you laugh. i have to do it often.

i was proud of myself when i got ten hours of sleep last night, until i realized it wasn't something i had planned on doing.

i was shocked, when, a few hours after my dad emailed a photo of a shelter dog available for adoption, he emailed again to say my mom couldn't leave without him. hi, scooter.

i was overwhelmed when i thought about how much traveling i will be doing over the next few months.

i was scared when i realized how much money i haven't saved.

I can't love you from memories of conversations we had before.

We just don't talk anymore.

I'm not materialistic.

I just can't love a person from afar without having conversations like you do.

And I'm sure you would want me to stop too.

We might even talk again,

but then I'm not even sure what I would feel anymore.

I don't even know what I'm feeling -

or if I'm feeling at all.
