#empathy is key

Started reading a book about empathy and how we could save the world. It makes me sad and furious, that we are willing to destroy our home just to have fun! The world loves us unconditionally and so should we love the world. We should realize that climate change needs to be stopped and the whole human species needs to help!

Empathy means meeting a person within themselves... to the best of an observer’s ability.

My heart is heavy, thinking of all the destruction we visit on one another. I feel a pressure in my chest… I feel a deep sorrow and sadness… grief.

War is a matter of resources in some respect. One way or another… mental, emotional or physical resources in a state of flux. Anger destroys… persecution responds, stomping on anger with anger.

It’s a cycle… of fear.

i fucking hate it when someone says something wrong in more of a misguided ignorance way and the response goes “see this is the problem with tumblr blah blah blah”. bullshit! that misguided ignorance isn’t borne out of malice or “meh meh tumblr is a shithole and people here are wilfully and maliciously not knowing shit (yes. even things you guys - or i - think are obvious)”. it is borne out of a deliberate campaign by the bourgeoisie to maintain the masses uninformed enough to stay in power for the last what, 30 years? think post modernism and fukuyama’s end of history. so let’s try to be patient and kind. “pft this is the problem w tumblr”. no.

and also, if someone is being wilfully and maliciously ignorant and reactionary and mean. that isn’t “the problem with tumblr see!! see!!!”, that is a problem on twitter, on facebook, on discord, you name it.
