I always love questions about fanfiction! Adore both writing and reading them. While I've written in quite a few fandoms, I'm going to stick to my TMNT ones as they are my major ones.
A Simple Act of Kindness
2003 Verse. Probably one of my most popular and well known TMNT stories. When the Battle Nexus Tournament comes around again, Mikey has finally lost his title as Champion. But his brothers find, to their shock and dismay, that all his bragging was covering quite the gaping wound...
What Is Intelligence?
1987 Verse. My first TMNT fanfiction and what got me hooked! A follow-up to "Donatello's Duplicate" where Michelangelo confronts his brother about some of the cruel things his clone said. Because if they were copies, does that mean Donatello feels the same?
What Darkness Most Fears
2003 Verse. Originally written for a TMNT Halloween themed fan book and was my first attempt at horror. When Mikey's brothers don't return from a pharmacy run for him when he's home sick, he sets out after them. Fighting his way through a cursed house while fighting a fever was not in his plans tonight...and dawn is a lethal deadline.
Insane Clarity and Lucidity
1987 Verse. A duo of stories when Michelangelo's empathy takes center stage and maybe Baxter is not beyond saving.
Nothing Is Ever Simple
2003 Verse. Originally written as a prize story but I don't think a lot of people know about this one. When Mikey gets kidnapped when an arms deal break up goes wrong, it's Raph to the rescue. And we get to get inside our favorite hothead's mind quite a bit!
Ignorance Vs Stupidity
1987 Verse. One of my favs because I get to have Don and Mike bonding over some of the most unexpected things
Empathy Series, part III. Part II can be found here.
A/N: Here it is! Part III, which is also the final part of the Empathy Series. I decided it was time to wrap it up so I could make time to start on the holiday imagines (which reminds me, I still have requests open until the Monday after Thanksgiving!). Thank you for all of the love and support, and I’m very excited to start my new fic “When Fire Meets Fire!”
Words: 1,660
Warnings: implied smut. . . I think that’s all, actually.
“I’ll come too!” You quickly stumbled into your battle boots, trying to keep up with the other Avengers as you zipped up the brown leather.
Steve paused, moving his shield to his back. “From what I’ve heard about last time you came on a mission, I don’t think his one would be safe for you.” His eyes locked with yours in concern and slight sympathy.
From behind Steve, Tony was nodding fervently. “You were trying to kill us all, Reindeer Games Jr.” You narrowed your eyes at the new nickname.
“I have to agree with Steve and Tony on this one,” Thor added, swinging Mjölnir carelessly. “A lot is at stake this time, and if something were to happen to you, it would be devastating.”
You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms. “You guys, Loki’s been helping me control it! I’m a lot stronger now. Besides, I could use some fresh air and good kick or two to the face.”
Nobody looked convinced.
Tony shifted uncomfortably. “Right, because Loki has such a long history of being trustworthy. Look, (Y/N), I don’t know what’s going on between the two of you, if you’re hooking up or something, but you should stay away from him.”
“I second that,” Steve said. “He’s dangerous, and none of us want to see you get hurt.”
You scoffed, your eyebrows shooting up incredulously. “Are we seriously having this conversation right now?”
“She’s right,” Thor stated, pulling Tony backwards by his elbow. “We have to go.”
You started after them, but Steve gave you a look and held onto your shoulders, keeping you in place. You focused on a wall in your mind, blocking the foreign emotions that weren’t yours. It was weak, but enough to keep the Cap’s thoughts out of your head.
“You have to stay,” He said in his best authoritative voice, “You’re not strong enough yet for this mission. We would all be putting you in serious danger if we let you come.”
When he realized you weren’t going to say anything, he removed his hands from your shoulders and jogged towards the others. “See you later, okay? It’s for your own safety!” He called out, rounding the corner.
You clenched and unclenched your fists, still processing all that had just happened, when Tony’s head popped out from around the doorframe. “No sex on my bed!” He said sternly, pointing at you.
“Fuck you, Stark, go save the world without me.” You flipped him your middle finger, and he flashed you a grin before disappearing into the hallway again.
“No sex on my bed,” You muttered bitterly to yourself, huffing and starting off towards your room. Their comments about you and Loki were completely inappropriate, even if they were just trying to look out for you. You weren’t hooking up with Loki. . . But you wouldn’t shy away if the opportunity arose.
Ever since that Emberling touched you on the battlefield and got inside your head, the Avengers had been babying and watching you like a volcano that could erupt at any moment. Thor had the most understanding of your empathetic abilities, and was never as infuriatingly careful with you as the others were.
“Come to my room,” Loki’s voice suddenly said in your mind. It got slightly less startling every time he did that, but the first time he’d communicated with you telepathically, it scared the shit out of you. Now, you just wished you knew how to do it.
You hesitated for just a moment before pushing the door open and entering the bedroom that smelled of herbs and old books. “I can teach you,” Came Loki’s voice from across the room. He was standing at the window, his back turned to you with hands clasped behind him. Raven locks cascaded down to just past his shoulders, leading your eyes to the soft-looking green T-shirt that he wore. You’d never seen Loki in a T-shirt, but now that you had, you could hardly tear your eyes away. It clung to him perfectly, showing off his muscly torso and even though he wore that color green constantly, it suddenly looked brand new.
“Finished yet?” He asked, turning to you with a smirk that brought a blush to your cheeks. You hadn’t put up a wall, and he was listening in on your thoughts--not that any barrier you could have put up would’ve been strong enough to deter Loki.
“You can teach me?” You ignored his question, shifting uncomfortably.
Loki nodded and started towards you. “It’s simple, really. It’s even easier to communicate with those who are devoted to you, especially for gods.” He locked eyes with you pointedly, and you knew that he wasn’t just speaking generally. He was talking about you, you were devoted to him. You were, in fact, wrapped around his finger.
You were startled back into reality when he took your hand, and you were just barely able to water down the emotions before they hit you like a brick to the face. They were still there, burning hatred and heartbreak behind your primary thoughts, like a simmering pot on the back-burner. It stung like a sour memory, and you fought back tears that threatened to spill over. You hated how Loki was treated, you resented Odin for the things he made Loki feel. You wanted to drive a blade into everyone who had ever hurt him--not enough to kill them, but enough to make them suffer.
“Look at me, pet,” Loki murmured, stroking a gentle hand against your cheek. You lifted your gaze to meet his eyes, and he looked back down at you solemnly, with understanding. You opened your mouth to speak, to apologize, to express your resentment for everyone who had ever scarred him, but he shushed you before the words could form.
“I want you to look at me, and to think hard about what you want me to hear. Say it in your head, feel the words inside you.”
You looked down at his hand, slender fingers intertwined with yours. “Well how do I know if it works if you can just listen in on my thoughts anyways?”
Loki chuckled. “I won’t, I swear. Just think about what you want to say to me, and say it to yourself like you need to make yourself believe it.”
I don’t know, hey? What’s up, Trickster?
It didn’t work. You struggled to find something to say, your thoughts coming up in a tangle of nonsense. It was hard enough to control the flood of emotions threatening to break the dam, but to concentrate on telepathy was another thing all in itself. Loki squeezed your hand, his blue eyes sparkling in either amusement or admiration, and you realized just how easy it was for you to get lost in them. Those eyes had seen so many things, had lived through countless experiences--wars, heartbreaks, victories and losses. You wanted to hear about every single one.
“Think it like a prayer,” Loki said softly.
It came to you almost effortlessly, like it was written on your heart.
“I want to know you.”
You knew it worked that time, you felt the connection, and you saw it in Loki’s features. His eyebrows knitted together in confusion.
“You already know me better than anyone else,” Came his reply.
He was right, of course, but he also knew that wasn’t what you meant. “I want to know you, Loki. I want to know everything about you, to memorize you inside and out.”
“Why?” He asked aloud, his features flooded with a mixture of emotions that were churning in your mind. Confusion and fear. Hope and admiration. Love.
Mindlessly, you reached down for his other hand, holding onto him like a lifeline. “Because during my time here, I’ve realized that you are so much more than what everyone makes you out to be. Today, Tony and Steve tried to tell me to stay away from you, but they don’t know you like I do.” You drew in a deep breath. “And they don’t know me like you do. Nobody does.”
He looked at you with wide eyes, his lips slightly parted. You knew he didn’t want to open himself to you completely, that he was afraid. His hands were shaking--or maybe those were yours.
“And I need you more than air,” You added, the sudden realization knocking the air from your lungs.
“My gods, (Y/N). . .” Loki murmured, his face flushed a light shade of pink. “How in hel have you done this to me?”
Before you could ask what he meant, his lips were on yours. You gasped, and he released your hands to move his to your waist, bringing you slowly into him. You rested your palms against his chest, then let them snake up to toy with the ends of his silken hair.
“Never in my entire life have I ever thought I’d fall for a mortal,” Loki explained, pulling away to rest his forehead against yours. “But you, my dear, are anything but ordinary.” His hands wandered up your sides, and he murmured something about perfection. With a content sigh, he asked, “Are you certain you aren’t a goddess?”
With a short, breathy laugh, you nodded. “I’m pretty sure.”
“There is no goddess like you anyway,” Loki stated, bringing his lips back down to yours and walking you backwards until your calves hit the side of his bed. “You are so much more.”
“Loki,” You pleaded, letting him push you down on the mattress so he was above you, his hair forming a curtain around your faces.
He wet his lips, and as he waved his hand, you heard the distinct sound of the door locking. “You say you want to know me,” He said lowly, “And there’s no time like the present.”
You impatiently tugged on his hair, drawing a growl from his lips.
“I’m going to make you mine,” Loki rasped, trailing his hands down your figure as if he was trying to memorize every dip and curve.
His hardening length was pressing into your thigh, and you released a breathy moan as he began to grind himself against your leg. His lips locked with yours for a fleeting moment, then quickly moved on to your neck, where he nipped and sucked at the sensitive skin.
“Loki. . .” You murmured, unconsciously tilting your head back to grant him better access. “The last time I was with someone—“ You inhaled sharply as he found the spot just below your jaw, and arched your back into him when he reached to unclasp your strapless bra—it was all you had clean—from underneath your graphic tee.
“Yes?” He hummed, tossing the black material carelessly towards his armchair as his lips moved on to create yet another mark along your collarbone.
It was so hard to keep the wall up in your mind when he was all over you like this, all it would take is one slip for everything to come crashing down on top of you.
He cupped your breasts through your shirt, brushing his thumbs over the hardened peaks and drawing a gasp from your lips. “The last time I was intimate with someone,” you tried again, “it didn’t go well.”
He was fully hard now, circling his hips into you and making you wetter by the second. “I’m no ordinary man,” He said, moving his hands down your chest and to your stomach, where he slid his fingertips just under the hem of your shirt.
Your hands went to his broad shoulders before trailing them slowly down his toned arms. “Exactly,” you murmured, letting your eyes fall closed as his lips brushed against yours.
“Do you want to stop?” He asked genuinely, releasing a light, shaky breath as your small hands explored his muscly chest.
Did you want to stop? Your last experience with intimacy had gone horribly wrong—your partner was thinking about another girl, you cried and lashed out, and he responded with anger you’d never forget.
One look into Loki’s eyes brought you to your answer. “No. Don’t stop.”
With a smirk, Loki flicked his wrist and your shirt disappeared in a sheer curtain of green. Before you had time to ask where he’d put it, his hands were all over you, squeezing and cupping at your breasts, rolling your sensitive nipples between his thumb and forefinger.
“Off,” you commanded, tugging at his soft green t-shirt. Instead of whisking it away with magic, he got to his knees and pulled the shirt over his head, revealing his pale, toned chest that clouded your mind with desire.
He started for your neck again but quickly moved south, pressing burning kisses to your body as he replaced his large hands with his skilled tongue, circling your peaks and delicately nipping at the sensitive skin.
You were already a writhing mess underneath him, soft moans escaping your lips as you looped your fingers into his hair.
“Please,” You begged, but for what exactly you weren’t sure.
“Please what?” He replied coyly, pulling away from your breasts with a pop of his lips.
“Loki,” you whined, lifting your hips to meet his in search of friction. “Please, I need you.”
You were worried about what could happen, but the desire that was rolling over you in waves outweighed your concerns. You’d caught yourself a few times already beginning to let your guard down, your concentration lost with every touch Loki gave.
His eyes seemed to darken with lust as he moved to sit back on his heels, pulling your linen shorts down along with him. He tossed them to the side with your bra, gazing at you hungrily as he did the same with your soaked panties.
“So wet,” he groaned deep in his throat, lowering himself to lick an agonizingly slow stripe up your slick folds.
A jolt of electricity tore through you, drawing a breathy moan from your lips. His hands gripped your thighs, keeping your legs apart as he dipped his head back down. You dared a look at him, and released a shaky breath at the sight.
He was skilled, certainly with centuries of women in his history to teach him exactly how to make a woman come undone before him. He worked you until your head was thrown back against the pillows and your fingers were buried in his hair—his own were pumping in and out of your dripping core as he flicked his tongue against your sensitive clit.
“Shit, Loki,” you moaned, heat gathering in the pit of your stomach. He curled his fingers to hit the spot that brought you dangerously close to the edge, working you until your legs shook with desire.
One hand in his hair and the other gripping the bedsheets, you were close to release—and then he pulled away.
You couldn’t help the whine that escaped from your mouth, nor could Loki help his flushed cheeks and dilated eyes as he gazed up at you.
“Patience, pet,” He rasped, muscles contracting as he lifted himself up to cover your body with his own, propping himself up by the elbows and capturing your lips in his.
You could taste yourself on his tongue, and it was one of the most erotic things you’d ever experienced. He ground his clothed member against the inside of your thigh, and you huffed indignantly as his raven curls brushed across your face.
“Not fair,” you murmured into his mouth, just before your hands went to his bare chest and trailed down until your fingertips met the waistband of his trousers.
His forehead rested against yours as a broken exhale fanned your face. “Next time.” He said, knowing your intentions were to slowly undress him.
With a wave of his hand, the trousers were gone, leaving his erect length to press against his toned stomach. He was big, and you had a moment where you wondered if he might be too big. It had been a while.
Your gaze dragged up to his darkened blue eyes, finding him already staring back. He was looking at you in question—asking if you were sure.
“I can’t guarantee that I can stop once we’ve started,” his voice rasped in your mind, “but I want you to tell me if it’s too much.”
It took you a moment, but you were finally able to focus enough to communicate back. Your fingers found their way into his hair, tangling themselves in the silken strands.
“I wouldn’t want you to, and whatever happens, I can handle it.” Your lips curled into a smirk as you pulled him closer, until his lips were just brushing against your own.
“Make me yours, Loki.”
He moaned deep in his throat and without a second thought, sheathed himself inside of you. He was careful, allowing you time to adjust to his size, and you were grateful. The remains of your mental wall were breaking down, and with each controlled thrust of his hips, you were yanked closer to the barrier into the unknown.
You glanced up into his eyes, and found him already looking back with concern weaved into the pure blue. You knew he was holding back, because neither of you knew what would happen when you lost control.
And then the last brick crumbled away, leaving the flood of emotions to wash over you. You didn’t know if you wanted to cry, scream or laugh—the usual anger and sadness hit you first, this much you were prepared for. But what came after hit you like a tidal wave.
The feeling of a greater connection, a bond between two people—you and Loki—was followed by a deep admiration and love. You felt his security in you, and the fear that he held in his heart for getting close to people. For getting close to you. The fear ripped through you and stretched in so many directions. The fear of losing you, losing himself, not being able to love you like you needed loved, and fear of not being able to provide the future you’ve certainly dreamed of.
He was hopeful, but still uncertain. In his eyes, he was still just a war criminal, and he didn’t understand how you could trust him so blindly.
But he also felt lucky and incredibly grateful for you, and the thought made your heart swell with pride. He felt like you brought out the best in him, and a nearly overwhelming warmth enveloped your chest.
He loved you, and he was terrified of that. He was terrified to tell you—
You were thrown back into reality when you felt a hand running through your hair. Loki was watching you carefully, question sparkling in his lingering gaze.
“Are you. . . all right?” He asked through his teeth, having stopped his movements to make sure you were okay. His thumb brushed away tears that you didn’t realize had streaked down your face as you nodded fervently.
“I’m okay,” you assured, gripping at his shoulders to pull him close again. You circled your hips into him in a desperate search for friction, moaning softly as you felt his hands move down to your thigh to sling your leg over his hip.
“God, Loki, don’t stop.”
Those four words worked like magic, because suddenly something inside him snapped. He began to move in you again, pulling almost completely out and then thrusting roughly back in to meet the spot that was bringing you closer and closer to release.
“Norns, (Y/N),” he groaned, one strong hand beside you head to hold himself up, and the other keeping your leg elevated.
You could hardly think, your thoughts were so clouded by the man on top of you. His hair brushing over your face, his large hand gripping your thigh, and his length buried deep inside of you. The sensations alone were overwhelming—you’d never slept with anyone like him—but with his emotions that mixed into your own, it was something else entirely.
“Loki—“ you panted, pushing away the raven waves from his face. His features were strained, his eyes closed tightly as he brought you dangerously close to the edge.
“Cum now.” He rasped lowly, and that was all it took to send you into a high. You clenched tightly around him, your legs shaking as you both moaned incoherent curses.
He followed closely behind, his unsteady thrusts pushing him over the edge. He cried out, and his pulsating member released his seed inside of you. He held onto you like his life depended on it, working himself through his orgasm until he pulled out and lowered himself beside you on the bed.
“Holy shit,” you said lightly, still catching your breath as he hooked an arm over your waist to pull you close.
“If Stark asks. . .” Loki drawled, “We did that on his bed.”
