its ok anders we know you are incapable of love
“Alice, Schwartz, and Winston would say otherwise. But yes, my heart is akin to a very, very tiny pebble of nothingness.”
"I forgive you" -Winston.
“... You shouldn’t,” replied Marlise, fingers twitching ever so slightly as a cold static sensation swept through her body. She hated feeling vulnerable, especially in front of him, of all people.
“I’ve never given you a reason to.”
starter for @employee431
It was during one of his many expeditions of exploring the different Offices that he found him.
Stellan had heard stories of Winston Samuels, mostly scoldings from Stanley about how he was the cause of Jim's misery, or recountings from Bradley that James and Marlise had taken to making him their punching bags - just with blades rather than fists.
There were several adjectives that came up whenever the topic of employee #431 did.
Bitter. Evil. Selfish.
Apparently he was an outcast amongst the employees, no one, not even Mr Make-Friends-With-Everyone Stanley really talked to him or paid him much attention, unless they were berating him for whatever happened to Jim, of course.
Stellan had to admit that he was curious about the nature of this guy, if he really was as terrible as everyone said he was.
But he knew that there was another side to the story, there always was and so when he bumped into Winston himself in the hallways of whoever's Office this was, he decided it was an excellant opportunity to stick around and ask the man personally about a few things.
"Sorry," Stellan said automatically, taking a step back from the employee. He scanned over him once to size him up. "I didn't look where I was going."
“Where I go, when I go there No more shadows anymore Only men with golden fins The rhythm in them, rocking with them to shore.”
Harold/Schwartz aesthetic for @desk-of-employee432 !
@employee431 liked for a starter
The lights flicked to life upon Winston’s arrival, casting an oddly pink glow across the rows of somewhat stylish cubicles. He would he able to hear whirring from above as the security cameras zoomed in on him with intense interest. The poor employee was granted no time to settle in before an Englishman’s voice took up space, crooning at a volume that made it bounce around in his head like rubber.
“Well aren’t you just a tall cup of Weltschmerz. It’s about time someone paid me a visit.”
The chair to Winston’s left spun around, revealing abnormally long-legged blond with a grin wider than a crescent moon.
“What brings you here, sweetheart?”

Honestly, I never expected Anderson to get involved in as many ships as he is in now. And tbh, I’m cheating here since I’ll be talking abt 3 ships. I like them all.
Anderwin is probably the most stable one, even if it’s politically and morally wrong in AU (considering Untelevised Anders is already married for political brownie points and he’s Winston’s boss). Even if there’s the power imbalance, Winston knows how emotionally vulnerable Anderson is, and the two know their limitations.
Anderson sees Winston as his equal despite being capable of ruining his life in an instant. Everything is very chaste but there’s a strong relationship there formed on trust and empathy.
Anderpink is unstable at first due to their relationship being founded on God Anderson’s lies and manipulation. He’s using pink to gain leverage over the other gods, but there’s this weird part of him that wants to protect her because 1) she’s valuable, and 2) she’s pretty much the only god that respects him and he likes that feelings.
After Pink kills him and he’s resurrected in a weaker state, he’s developed a healthier connection with her.
His comfortable feelings with her kind of mix in with the vague sense of guilt he has and the lowkey paranoia that comes after it. Since Anders did all that horrible shit to her, why does she still care about him and when is she going to leave? It’s like that, and he’s struggling to keep himself soft for her while at the same time desperately protecting his emotions.
Alexanderson is just straight up nuts and not healthy in the slightest. It’s basically a game of “How long is Alex going to keep himself sane while constantly being in the presence of the asshole god that ruined his life?”
Anderson knows what he’s doing, and worse–Alex knows what Anderson is doing, yet he still feels his influence changing him. Anderson is literally torturing him with kindness, having fun breaking Alex down over the course of centuries just so he can prove a point, which is: don’t fuck with him.
It’s disgusting and awful and fun as hell to write.
U know the drill. Schwartz or Winston or both
Schwartz
Most admirable quality: “His softer nature.”
Most attractive physical feature: “He has nice eyes. Very nice to look at.”
Most annoying habit: “His existence.”
Something they would like to do with them: “Take a long hibernation with him.”
Winston
Most admirable quality: “His loyalty.”
Most attractive physical feature: “He has a very nice, slim jawline.”
Most annoying habit: “Fucking go to sleep for once.”
Something they would like to do with them: “Kiss the top of his head and hold him like a doll.”
